Every year on 08 May the town of Helston celebrates the beginning of the summer - the dancing begins at 7 in the morning with the working ladies and gentlemen followed by the Children's Dance at 10 am, the midday Dance at 12 with ladies in long gowns and men in morning suits and then the working ladies and gents again at 5 pm. The dancing is led by the Helston Town Band with the well known tune of the Helston Floral Dance. The weather is set fair for May so why not book a bank holiday break and extend for the week?
