We have been coming to Cadgwith for 25 years. First time in Smyrna – beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean. Probably the best we have stayed in. Lovely time as always. Great to see the Christmas lights go on. Will be back again soon.

Smyrna is a beautiful cottage – tastefully decorated and comfortable – and a prime spot in Cadgwith just a few steps away from both the beach and the pub. A wonderful holiday with friends. We will be back.

Smyrna is a beautiful cottage and we found it very comfortable indeed. We very much enjoyed our stay and exploring the village and surrounding area. In fact, we found it very hard to leave. Thank you for organising our stay at such short notice. If our cottage in Helford had not been cancelled then we might not have discovered Cadgwith. We are already planning to return and will definitely book with you.

We had a wonderful time in Smyrna. Thank you for all your help in organising our stay, especially given the situation with Covid 19. The cottage was actually a lot nicer and bigger than we expected. We spoke with the caretaker who said it had recently been completely redecorated and it looked very beautiful. Everything was great with the stay and it gave us the perfect chance to switch off and relax.

We had a fantastic week in Smyrna. The weather was amazing - couldn't have wished for better. The house had pretty much anything you would need and was very clean. Having no mobile signal ensured peace and tranquillity - husband and friend were frequent visitors to the pub - us girls happy to just sit in the garden to read and chill. I would highly recommend to anyone, and in fact I have!

We always love staying at Smyrna and found the recently undertaken renovations really welcome. The choice of furnishings is first class. The cottage is fantastically positioned in the centre of Cadgwith village and we love to see all the comings and goings of life there. We look forward to our future stays at Smyrna this year - it really does feel like a second home to us.

We all loved Smyrna and Cadgwith. The cottage was perfect - better than we could have hoped and even better in real life than it looked on the website. Cadgwith is unbelievably lovely and the wild weather just added to its dramatic beauty. We'd love to come back one day.

A lovely stay in Cadgwith, and particularly at Smyrna. I would rank it as one of the best cottages we have stayed in. It has a very comfortable layout and was always warm. The kitchen/dining was particularly good and always encouraged a "sit down at the table" rather than eating from a tray. Parking was also good, spacious and secure without being too far from the cottage. My only niggle was a lack of sufficient pans (and lids), although we managed. We look forward to visiting Cadgwith again next year.

Just a brilliant old world cottage, beautifully updated inside. All amenities you would have at home. Very spacious for a country cottage and great location by the sea (and pub). Have now stayed in four of Cadgwith Cove Cottages' properties and never been disappointed. Very comforting, having travelled from Australia.

A fantastic holiday, with the best weather ever! Cottage was great - very comfortable and well equipped. The best cottage in Cadgwith. Reading the cottage visitors' book we came across an entry from the late 1980s where the previous owners of our house in Stourbridge stayed at Smyrna. What are the chances of that!! Thanks again and look forward to booking with you again.

We had an amazing holiday at Smyrna. The cottage was amazing in both location and cleanliness. We were made welcome by all in the village and did not need to venture off the peninsula until we departed. Thanks to all at Cadgwith Cove Cottages for a seamless booking process. We had a fab stay at Smyrna. Excellent property – everything you need for a self-catering holiday. Beautifully decorated – it was so fresh we worried about making scratches etc. Superbly clean and in fact, despite Covid, it was the first time I’ve not felt the need to clean an accommodation upon entry. It was so lovely I felt we needed to leave it in the same condition we found it in. We’ve been to Cadgwith several times and will certainly be returning.

We always enjoy going to Cadgwith in the spring and this year was no exception. We particularly enjoyed Smyrna this year as the new furniture was extremely comfortable and we thought the colours and fabrics used for the blinds, cushions and carpets really enhanced the old cottage. Opening up the fireplace in the living room and installing the electric woodburner makes the room appear more spacious, and the stripping of the stonework made an enormous difference. Charles and Jo (the caretakers) are very attentive and helpful and make the cottage very welcoming for our arrival. We have had a very long association with Cadgwith Cove Cottages and we hope to continue this. Thank you to all.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Smyrna. The cottage was perfect - picturesque and characterful and also well equipped. It is in a great position to explore the wonderful unspoilt village of Cadgwith and the rest of the beautiful Lizard. We will definitely be coming back.

Each time we visit Cadgwith it gets better and better. This visit the highlight was the artisan bread, baked locally. Smyrna was a delight as normal and Cadgwith Cove Cottages is a very well run, professional company.

We had a lovely week in the cottage, which was, as always, beautifully looked after by Charles and Jo. They were also more than helpful when the WiFi/landline broke down and BT had to be called. This was rectified within 24 hours, thanks to very prompt attention by Charles and Jo and BT. We would say that the Cadgwith Inn we found to be rather expensive now and the food not quite so good, although we couldn't have had a better welcome from Helen and Gary and staff and it was lovely to see them again.
