This has to be one of the most memorably situated holiday houses anywhere in the U.K.  With breathtaking views up and down the Helford River, Tremerlin has 4 acres of secret woodland gardens, 200 metres of water frontage, its own quay and slipway with private moorings and complete peace and quiet.  The words “magic” and “paradise” occur over and over again in visitors’ comments.  Tremerlin is the whole of the ground floor of this two-storey timber-framed property.  The owner is an artist, musician and furniture maker whose work is a feature of the property.  The house is surrounded by woodland and a 10-minute walk through it leads you to Helford Village with its pub, café and village store.  Just as close in the other direction is the world-famous Frenchman’s Creek.  It will, however, be hard to leave Tremerlin with its woodland ponds, tree ferns, magnolias, camellias and the shoreline to explore.  Small boat sailing is excellent here.  The interior of Tremerlin has an atmosphere all its own  Prices for this property are high, because there is enormous demand to stay here.  If you come, you will immediately understand why.
