REVIEWS FOR 1 JIMMER`S COURT

31 July 2021
Our stay at Jimmer’s Court was great. The place is brilliantly positioned and the facilities inside great. A very comforting and restful week. Thanks too for the bottle of wine!

Mr Charles Kahn, Canada We enjoyed our stay at Jimmer's Court. It was well located and suited us well. Cadgwith is really lovely and we enjoyed being right in the middle of it. We found everything we required in the cottage. And thank you for the bottle of wine. It was a very nice welcome, much more to our taste than the scones and cream provided in other venues!

Kevin and Stephanie, Glos Excellent property in a very good location. Wouldn't change a thing. Just wish we could have stayed longer. We have been many times with Cadgwith Cove Cottages and never had a bad experience. The staff are excellent - always willing to help.

05 June 2021
We had a lovely holiday at 1 Jimmer’s Court. The property was very well equipped and we especially liked the kitchen, which was ideal for cooking up fish dinners with the fish we bought from the shop at the end of the courtyard. Cadgwith Cove is such a special place. The coastal path walk to the Lizard via Church Cove is stunning – with all the wildflowers it’s like a garden – really amazing. The weather was kind, albeit with a keen breeze. We were supposed to visit Easter 2020 – it was well worth waiting for! We will be back in touch next time we visit this very special location.

Mrs M Tyler, Colchester, Essex We had a lovely stay at 1 Jimmer's Court. Cadgwith is a fantastic place and we love it. We were very impressed with how well equipped the flat is - I don't think we have stayed anywhere where the kitchen is so well equipped. And the flat is in such a great location. We did have some problems with the parking - more obvious signage is needed to make clear the space is for 1 Jimmer's Court - but all in all a fabulous week in a lovely little gem of Cornwall.

23 October 2015
June, Derek and family The location of the cottage was perfect - it was quiet and it was lovely to look out at the harbour and the sea. The cottage was clean and tidy. The quality of the furnishings was good and comfortable, and in particular the kitchen equipment and crockery was first class. If we were ever in Cornwall again we would want to stay at 1 Jimmer's Court. Thank you for contributing to a wonderful holiday for all the family.

REVIEWS FOR 1 MONTE CARLO

28 August 2021
We had a superb week in and around Cadgwith, Ruan Minor and the Lizard. Loved the cottage….it was perfect for us. Thank you. The fish BBQ at Cadgwith was really fun, and so was paddleboarding at Coverack.
The Gradwells, Frome

Thank you for the lovely flowers and wine – what a nice surprise. Comfortable cottage in a great location. It was so nice to be able to go on walks from the cottage and be so close to other amenities.
Helen and Phil, Birmingham

08 August 2020
We’ve had an amazing 2 weeks. Cadgwith hasn’t changed a bit since we were last here for our honeymoon nearly 22 years ago. We’ll be back next year to make more memories here in Cornwall. Thank you for a great cottage and for the cream tea.
Rachael and Chris, Rugby

22 February 2020
A lovely peaceful stay at Monte Carlo. A nice little cottage. We visited Kennack Sands, Poltesco, Cadgwith, Housel Bay and the hotel for lunch, and Kynance Cove. All on good weather days. Thank you for the flowers and cream tea.
Joanna and Timmy, Cornwall

23 June 2018
Our third visit to this delightful and comfortable cottage. Enjoyed some of our usual walks – Poltesco to Cadgwith, the coast path around Mullion and the Lizard. Sunday lunch at the Housel Bay hotel excellent. Cream tea and flowers much appreciated. We shall be back.
Anne and Brian, Tattenhall, Cheshire

05 May 2018
Excellent stay once again. Cottage very comfortable and well equipped. Good coastal walks. Would recommend Nettles fish and chip shop in Helston and Polpeor café at the Lizard for delicious meals. Flowers and cream tea very much appreciated.
Mick and Annette, Stratford-upon-Avon

21 August 2021
Great little cottage in the middle of amazing walking area. We enjoyed our stay, even if the weather was not too good. It was also great being near the very good village shop. Thank you for the wine – it went down well.
Roger and Sandy, Oxfordshire

05 June 2021
A nice cottage with all you need for a perfect holiday. My 10-year-old said it “felt like home” and was “the best holiday we’ve had so far”. The area is extremely beautiful and we didn’t have enough time to explore everything, so we are definitely coming back.
Izzy and Victor, London

30 October 2020

Another lovely few days at Monte Carlo – my third stay here. Always enjoy walking to Poltesco and Kynance, and attending the service at St Ruan Church. Thank you for the cream tea – had it in the Cornish way of course!
Neil Marchant, Gloucestershire

12 May 2018
Our third stay in this lovely cottage and a very relaxing time walking on the coastal paths, taking in the beautiful scenery and enjoying the spring flowers and birdsong. We enjoyed the flowers and sitting in the garden eating our cream tea. Thank you.

REVIEWS FOR 4 GLEBE TERRACE (WHELK COTTAGE)

04 November 2023
A very dramatic, stormy, windy week but still wonderful. Home from home. All the usual walks, with a few pasties thrown in. Thank you.
The Claytons and Edward the dog, Shropshire

02 September 2023
Another lovely return stay at Whelk Cottage – thank you! The beds are even more comfy than we remember! Weather was hit and miss for us this time but places we always love to visit are St Ives, Marazion beach and Lizard Point. We saw seals at the point and enjoyed Wavecrest café, which has lovely food and great views. We even saw the huge orange super moon come up, which was amazing. Thanks for a lovely stay again.
The Lillitous, Bedfordshire

15 July 2023
We had a brilliant two weeks at Whelk Cottage, with great weather so we were able to get out every day and enjoy the sun. The cottage was as always very cosy and had everything we needed for our stay – a real home from home. The wine and chocolate on arrival was very much appreciated. The bed was ‘out of this world!’. So comfortable, with beautiful bed linen – I could have slept all day! Thank you for making our holidays at Whelk so enjoyable.
Pauline M, Bucks

27 May 2023
What a beautiful cottage and a lovely location. We have had amazing weather – no waterproofs needed at all! We went to Sennen Cove – fantastic beach for surfing – and a walk to Land’s End. Kynance Cove is like a tropical beach and the walk along the South West Coast Path to the Lizard is outstanding. Thank you to Cathy and Jerry for a great cottage stay.
Bev and Martin, Norfolk

22 April 2023
Had another great stay at Whelk Cottage. Weather couldn’t have been better. Bigger bed was great. Look forward to coming back soon.
Maureen, Nigel and Daisy the dog, Essex

18 February 2023
Wonderful half-term week – glorious weather for the first half. We’re big foodies so recommend the Shipwright Arms at Helford (best view), Gear Farm pasties (best pasties), Black Swan at Gweek (best roast) and the Polurrian Hotel (best afternoon tea). For a great day out take the train from St Erth to St Ives and try the Thai Talay. We really enjoyed the cosiness of the cottage. Just fabulous. Thank you.
Tanya, Andy and Grace, Cambs

18 September 2021
Whelk Cottage was perfect as always. Lovely and clean with all the equipment you need for a good holiday – home from home! Weather was very kind to us and we actually spent 2 days on Kennack Sands in the sunshine. We love Whelk Cottage – a good position, very quiet – been here many times and will probably return soon.
T Jones, Petersfield, Hampshire

24 April 2021
We had a blissful week at Whelk Cottage. The cottage is amazingly well equipped and very cosy too. I was a bit apprehensive that some of the personality might be missing, with Covid precautions, but it was still full of beautiful art and furnishings. Friendly neighbours, great weather. Recommend the Thai takeaway nearby.
Deborah N, Berkshire

12 September 2020
Thank you for lending us your lovely cottage once again! Everything perfect as usual. Had a lovely fortnight and the sun shone most days. We come to walk the coast path and it has been perfect. Our only disappointment no shellfish for sale in Cadgwith, but we made up for it with Treleavens ice-cream! We spent our last evening eating fish and chips on the harbour at Coverack, watching dolphins jumping and playing in the cove. A lovely end to the hols. We will certainly return soon. PS – thank you for the wine.
Trish and Andy, Petersfield, Hampshire

16 August 2020
What a fantastic time we had in the Lizard and Whelk Cottage! Had beach days at Housel Bay, Kennack Sands and Kynance Cove, which were all spectacular. And swimming in Cadgwith Cove is another must. We did kayaking and rock climbing with Lizard Adventure, which is highly recommended. We went cycling at Penrose around Loe Pool (the largest freshwater lake in Cornwall) which is so beautiful. To cap it all we saw lots of seals (some close up during the kayaking) and even saw a dolphin leap out of the water near Lizard Point! Our third time to the Lizard and we will definitely be back.
James, Rina, Eva and Lawson, Muswell Hill, London

25 October 2019
Whelk Cottage is a little gem. It is spotless, and decorated beautifully with a fishing theme that reflects nearby Cadgwith Cove. It was perfectly big enough for a family of four, plus the dog, with a lovely-sized bathroom with both shower and bath. The biggest benefit of this property is its location - the local shop, which is well stocked, is 3 minutes walk away, but the jewel in the crown is Cadgwith Cove, which is 10 minutes walk away (maybe 15 on the way back as it's a steep hill). The cottage is brilliantly located to explore The Lizard, while St Michael's Mount, Land's End etc are only around 45 - 60 minutes away. I would definitely recommend this property to others - you won't be disappointed.
Lee Perry, Westoning

14 September 2019
Another lovely week on the lovely Lizard, although a first in Whelk Cottage. Well-equipped and clean, in a great location. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.
Rosie and Martin, Oxfordshire

20 July 2019
We had a fantastic time at Whelk Cottage. It was beautifully clean and we felt at home immediately. It was a pleasure to cook food in the beautiful kitchen and, in fact, we only ate out once. We thought the location was wonderful, with just a short walk to Cadgwith Cove (we perhaps spent longer in the inn than we were planning to due to the fantastic singing!) Thank you for sending us the information on Lizard Adventure - we went kayaking with them and had a wonderful time. I would wholeheartedly recommend Whelk Cottage as a truly wonderful holiday cottage. We had previously had a bad experience with another company many years ago when hiring a cottage for a few days and were rather nervous about a holiday let again, but this has restored our faith.
Jennie Morrison, Hertfordshire

08 June 2019
Another wonderful week. Whelk Cottage is always such a cosy place to return to. The weather was mixed but there is such a lot to do in the area we just ran out of time! Daisy, our dog, has, like us, enjoyed every minute. We look forward to returning next year.
Beth and Leighton Dobbs, South Wales

24 February 2019
A wonderful week in Cornwall. The weather, considering it was February, was fabulous. The cottage was lovely and like home from home. Everywhere we went was really dog-friendly. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.
Tricia and Chris

05 October 2018
Our first visit to Whelk Cottage, having been coming to the area for over 30 years. The cottage is very well equipped, comfortable and homely. Thank you for the most welcome tea bags, milk and bottle of wine - all much appreciated. The weather was kind, with no rain, and perfect for the many places to walk to all around.
Patrick and Jill, Nottingham

28 July 2018
A fabulous week, helped along by beautiful weather. Visited old haunts - Kennack Sands, the Lizard, Church Cove, Falmouth - and also new - Praa Sands (lovely sandy beach) and St Michael's Mount (beautiful but so busy). We love the cottage, especially the pictures and nick nacks, the village and the locals. Thank you.
Julie and Derek, Guildford

02 June 2018
J Sacha and family, Oxfordshire Whelk Cottage always makes us feel welcome - the care you give means it is so easy and comfortable to move into. You provide everything we need and I always look forward to the bottle of wine that's there to greet us. The new washing machine was a nice addition and these investments year upon year are good to see. Reading through the visitors book we can tell there are a lot of people who feel exactly as we do and really love the place. We shall be booking soon for our next escape to Cadgwith.

30 September 2023
Thanks for another lovely week in an immaculate cottage. It was very relaxing (in between the hilly climbs wherever we went). Dogs enjoyed Poldhu. Angry sea off the Lizard when Storm Agnes came – spectacular.
Debbie and dogs, Wokingham

26 August 2023
We had a fab family holiday and an amazing time exploring the Lizard peninsula. Our favourite beach was Poldhu (not dog friendly during the day in the summer) and also Kennack East beach, Dollar Cove and Porthleven – all great dog-friendly beaches all year round. Porthleven also has some quaint lovely shops around the harbour. We enjoyed the fish barbecue in Cadgwith. Thank you for the memories.
the Blake family

17 June 2023
An enjoyable week at Whelk Cottage. We love the extra touches that make it feel like a second home. Great walks, amazing food. Everybody is so welcoming in this little village.
Beth and Leighton, Cowbridge

20 May 2023
Our very best week at Whelk Cottage, and we’ve enjoyed many of them. Got to visit all the old haunts and swam down at the cove. Whelk Cottage and Ruan Minor make us feel very welcome. The very best of Cornwall. Thank you so much.
Jeremy and Miriam, Banbury

08 April 2023
Great little cottage. Ideal location for lots of coastal walks, whatever the weather. Clean and tidy, with all the things needed for a great stay.
Marlow family, Notts

14 May 2022
As usual we had a lovely time in Whelk Cottage. We have stayed there so many times now it is like home. Everything you need, and looked after so well by Anne. We walk in every direction from the cottage – it’s just in the right place to reach the coast path – and always enjoy a drink in the cove, everybody always very friendly. It also helped that we had perfect weather all week.
Trish J, Hampshire

05 June 2021
A lovely stay at Whelk Cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean and it was great that we received a text message saying when it was ready so that we could head over earlier than planned. The welcome gifts were very much appreciated too. Information from the office beforehand was everything we needed, especially with the additional Covid considerations. We will be back.
Mrs Fountain and family, Nottingham

26 September 2020
Thanks for a lovely stay. Amazing cottage (home from home). Lovely weather for the first week and only one day of rain in the second. Always love coming to Ruan, with all the local amenities on hand, and always sad to leave. The cottage was very clean – Anne does an amazing job. We will be coming back.
Matt, Boni and Charlie (the dog), Cheshire

29 August 2020
Fantastic stay in Whelk Cottage. Everything you need to have a lovely holiday. Lovely beaches and coves and lots of things to do.
Pauline and family, High Peak

21 March 2020
Beautiful cottage with everything we needed. Thank you for the ‘welcome hamper’ – it was much appreciated. Weather a bit wet and windy but we still managed to see the sights, and they are lovely. We will be returning when the world is back to normal….soon we hope. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Pauline and Ian, High Wycombe, Bucks

11 October 2019
Our third visit to Whelk Cottage. Just 3 days and a mixed bag of weather but managed to fit in all the important things! Coastal walk to Lizard (sunny and warm); cider in the local pub; coffee in the Ruan café; bacon sandwiches in the village hall; fish and chips from the visiting van; and a trip to Falmouth. Job done! We love it here - it is a home from home. Thank you for providing everything we need.
Julie and Derek, Guildford

17 August 2019
Thank you so much for letting us stay here - we loved every minute! Beautiful cottage - very clean and comfortable. Also loved where it's located - very friendly and relaxing. Hope to be back soon.
Birch family, Wales

22 June 2019
A perfect week in a beautiful cottage. It really did feel like a home that we didn't want to leave. Went down to the cove to see the Cadgwith singers on our last evening. Thank you for the wine, tea and milk too. We will definitely be recommending your cottage to our friends.
Josie and Nick, Cheshire

06 April 2019
Another great stay at Whelk Cottage - cosy and well-equipped, with a fisherman's cottage feel. Lots of close walks nearby, as well as Cadgwith Cove with the friendly pub. The Lizard is only a short drive away. Great cottage, great week, we'll be back.
Nigel, Burnham-on-Crouch

17 November 2018
What a beautiful place! Lovely and cosy and homely, well appointed and superb location - exactly what the doctor ordered to unwind and de-stress. Nothing like sitting beside a lovely log fire with a good book and a nice glass of wine, with a contented dog at your feet. A great place - see you next year.
Mark and Caroline, Cambridgeshire

22 September 2018
A lovely week in a beautiful cottage. We felt very at home and did not want to leave! The weather was mixed, but we still went out for walks every day. Church Cove and Dollar Bay were quite spectacular in the high winds and we also saw dolphins off Lizard Point - first time in many years of coming to Cornwall. We will definitely be back.
Ann, Stan and Molly the dog, Warrington

30 June 2018
Chris Branson, Berkshire Our third year at Whelk Cottage and another fantastic stay. The cottage is well equipped and comfy, with a small but sunny garden and seating at the front, where we often had a glass or two of wine with local friends. The cottage is scrupulously clean and in a quiet but convenient location for the local shop and village hall. Getting around either on foot or exploring in the car is easy as the coastal path is nearby, as are the beaches. We aim to return next year.

REVIEWS FOR A LOOKOUT AT BODRIGY

09 September 2023
The view from A Lookout does not disappoint. From watching the wildlife to the activities in the harbour and off-shore and even just watching the waves crash onto the coast, every day was an entertainment. Even if we had not had stunning weather we would still have been using the outside table and spaces as much as possible. Situated right on the SW coast path we could walk without even moving the car. Driving into the village, let alone parking, was a bit tricky, so we were much happier walking to the pub, Old Cellars café and harbour.
Robert H

14 May 2022
We had a great time at A Lookout. The location is fantastic – beautiful views, peaceful garden area and walking distance into Cadgwith village. The provision of a washing machine, and a bigger fridge, would be welcome. We saw part of Flora Day [traditional annual event in Helston] and it was an impressive and memorable addition to our holiday. Thank you to our hosts for a lovely holiday.
Mervyn and Chris, Shipley, West Yorkshire

04 September 2021
We loved the Lookout. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. The view from the garden is stunning and we used the outside deck area every day (the garden and decking area could be improved and does need a little TLC). We would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family.
Sharon, Reading

07 November 2020
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at A Lookout. The location, accommodation, local area, views and access to walks was some of the best we’ve had in Cornwall. The owners were friendly and accommodating. We didn’t want to leave and look forward to returning in the future.
Gary Manley

08 August 2020
A Lookout is a well presented property and has lovely views over Cadgwith Cove and out to sea. It is ideal for 2-4 people. The owners live nearby and were friendly and helpful. We were able to join the coastal path to walk down to the village. A lovely spot to recharge the batteries.
Mrs P McGinty, Coventry

18 July 2020
The stunning views over the sea and Cadgwith cove, the cottage itself and the gardens all helped make our stay at A Lookout truly magical. Paul and Jacqui were so helpful recommending places to eat and where to go (the Thai delivery, although late, was delicious). We’d certainly recommend the cottage to anybody and would love to return one of these days.
Mrs M Siddall, Bristol

30 November 2019
Wind picking up....waves starting to roll into the cove. Spot on. And with visits from Ronnie and Reggie, the cats. Purrfect!
Martha and Paul, Chipperfield, Herts

22 June 2019

Perfect location, outstanding views. Lovely cottage and nice hosts. Will be back.

18 August 2018
Dahlia Porter, Glasgow A nice little cottage in a fantastic location. We enjoyed walking down the coast path in both directions - stunning scenery and interesting mining history - as well as into Cadgwith, which is just on and off the beaten path enough to be thoroughly entertaining. The pub is excellent - always something going on and great food too. Plus Jacqui and Paul are lovely hosts - thank you for the hospitality!

28 July 2018
Ian Taylor, Staffordshire We had a wonderful stay a A Lookout. It's a great location, nice and clean, with fantastic views over the lovely village and sea. The owners were friendly and very helpful and welcoming when we arrived. Not forgetting the two cats....Looking forward to returning.

23 June 2018
Jenny Thomson, Wiltshire Our second stay at A Lookout and it was just as wonderful as before. The property is charming, as are the owners, Paul and Jacqui. I have previously described a stay at A Lookout as being like medicine for the soul. Indeed it has been again, and we will have no hesitation in booking again if there are weeks available. We are very tempted to keep it all a secret so as to increase our chances! Many thanks too for the smooth booking process.

30 September 2017
Helen Foster, Stroud We had a wonderful holiday at A Lookout at Bodrigy. The views from the property, which is right on the coastal path, are quite simply outstanding. The cottage is very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The owners, Paul and Jacqui, were very helpful, showing us around on the first day. Cadgwith Cove is stunning and unspoilt. The local pub serves excellent seafood. It is one of our favourite places. An excellent place to holiday.

17 June 2017
The position of this property is its key feature, with outstanding views over Cadgwith. For anyone seeking a quiet hideaway then this is the property. The owners were lovely and very helpful. It would have been useful to have a washing machine, although not essential. The only thing we would really have liked was another week!
Mrs Cartwright, York

24 June 2023
Our 2-week holiday at A Lookout at Bodrigy must be one of the most enjoyable and relaxing holidays my wife and I have had over 50 years. The Lookout lives up to its name and has astounding views of the cove, sea and coastline from every window. Although located only 75 yards from the owner’s main house we felt that we were quite alone. The property is very tastefully decorated, is very bright and clean and everything is provided. Cadgwith is a 5 minute walk down the coast path where one can just sit and relax. There is a fine community fish shop that sells locally caught fresh fish at very reasonable prices or one can have a meal or a drink in the pub or adjacent restaurant. We made the mistake of driving to Tintagel and St Ives but there is no need to leave The Lizard really as there are so many pretty villages and coves to explore. I will miss my daily 5-minute stroll to the general store at Ruan Minor to get my newspaper and sit outside with a coffee immersing myself in the slow pace of village life. Overall we had a wonderful time and will definitely return to The Lizard in the next couple of years.
Colin S, Devon

30 April 2022
The Lookout is just as described. Perfect views and a comfortable holiday let with everything you would need for a self-catering holiday. The location is ideal for coastal path walks straight from the property. We loved our stay!
Sue, Solihull

25 June 2021
A Lookout is a very special place overlooking the idyllic and quiet Cadgwith. A great base for a holiday – a one minute walk to the coastal path and everything else accessible by a short car journey. A great place to get away from the crowds – it felt as though we had uncovered a secret place. Will definitely return to watch the ships go by and the fishing boats come in.
Nina Ward

30 October 2020
A Lookout is in a beautiful, quiet location with really close access to the coast path and a short walk into Cadgwith. If you like walking and exploring the cliffs and beaches this is a brilliant place to stay. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Kerry Gill

01 August 2020
Jacqui and Paul’s bolt hole is a little bit of heaven on earth. A cosy cottage with fantastic sea views, clean and well maintained and a lovely sun deck to relax on. Jacqui and Paul popped in to check everything was OK and were lovely, open and friendly hosts. We watched the moonlight on the water in the bay, ate gorgeous food at the Cadgwith inn and fell in love with Cornwall all over again. We’ll be back.
Wilson family, Reading

11 July 2020
Our stay at A Lookout was very relaxing and Paul and Jacqui were very welcoming. The location really lived up to expectations and it was very easy to go on local walks along the coast path and visit the nearby beaches. The cottage itself had everything we needed and was immaculately clean and tidy. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and we very much expect to return another year.
Steve, Ashford, Kent

Thank you very much for lending us your lookout with the best outlook! We had a fab week exploring all of the local coves, and loved Cadgwith. Small but perfectly formed. Great holiday had by all four of us. We'll be back.

04 August 2018
What a fabulous cottage and what fab views! We couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you so much Paul and Jacqui - the Lookout is a credit to you. So helpful too. We really hope to come back and stay again with you. Until next time!

30 June 2018
Roland and Sabine, Germany Our second stay at A Lookout and it was all great again. We enjoyed the atmosphere in the lovely Cadgwith village - the party in the gig club, the festival in Falmouth, the absolutely friendly owners, Paul and Jacqui, the sunny weather and so on.....Unfortunately we are back home now, but staying at A Lookout now feels like home. We have already booked for next year.

09 June 2018
We spent the most wonderful week at the Lookout, and in Cornwall. It was our honeymoon, and everything we could have wished for. Wonderful house, wonderful village, brilliant hosts. Weather was kind and everyone was welcoming and friendly. We found it hard to tear ourselves away. Thank you, Paul and Jacqui, for sharing your little bit of paradise with us. We will be back for sure.
Philip and Christine, Midlands

24 June 2017
Roland and Sabine Dittmann, Germany We are unhappy because we had to leave the lovely cottage A Lookout at Bodrigy in the stunning village of Cadgwith. Everything was absolutely perfect, except that in the first few days the weather was a little bit too hot! Thank you to the warm-hearted owners Jacqui and Paul. Ideally we would like to come back next week but unfortunately we must go to work. When can we book for next year?

REVIEWS FOR ADMIRALTY COTTAGE

30 June 2023
We very much enjoyed our stay at Admiralty Cottage. We chose it because it has sea views and its own parking space and it is only 5 minutes’ walk to the beach in Cadgwith, which we know and love. It also has its own garden, which is a bonus in the summer months. The cottage is very comfortable, clean and tasteful, making for a restful and easy stay. It had everything we needed and I hope we will be able to return in the future. Thank you so much – you will definitely be my first port of call for future Lizard holidays!

We had a lovely week in Admiralty Cottage. It’s a very comfortable place to stay and we particularly enjoyed the views from the bedroom and garden. We would have appreciated some spare blankets for the twin beds – maybe we didn’t look hard enough. Otherwise everything was perfect and we will be staying there again.

Perfect spot for relaxing. The cottage is home from home, with everything we needed. We will be back.

20 November 2021
We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful Admiralty Cottage. The cottage was spotless, lovely and warm and beautifully decorated, and of course the views were absolutely outstanding. We even sat out in the garden in the evening a few times over our week there. We were blessed with really good walking weather and saw lots of wildlife too. We also found a lovely café in Helston, called CAST, when we went to visit the museum there. We did have a few teething problems initially, such as not being able to find the WiFi code, but the lady who cares for the cottage, and the owners, couldn’t have been more helpful, despite it being at the weekend. We would certainly recommend Admiralty Cottage to others.

REVIEWS FOR ANNEXE AT WHITE FEATHER

07 October 2023
An excellent location, which facilitates timely access to village amenities and beyond. A superb vista, well-appointed accommodation and, most importantly, a delightful and most helpful owner.
Peter D, Lyme Regis, Dorset

03 June 2023
We felt very comfortable in the apartment. The unique location, the wonderful view, the tasteful furnishings – nothing was missing. The owner, Peter, welcomed us very kindly. And we would like to thank your agency for the uncomplicated handling, contract, payment etc – just as it was a few years ago during our first stay in Cadgwith/Ruan Minor.
Dieter and Gabriele, NRW, Germany

25 September 2021
We had a truly wonderful week at White Feather. The Annexe is perfect in every way – we could not have hoped for anything better. The location, and the peace, were both perfect, and we especially loved watching the ever changing “picture” out of the enormous windows. A special thank you to whoever cleans – it’s definitely the cleanest holiday house we’ve stayed in. And thank you again for a perfect week – we needed the break and the rest badly and we loved every minute of it.
Greg and Jackie, Aberdeenshire

16 November 2019
This was our second stay at White Feather and it was just as incredible as the first. The accommodation is very good, but there are simply no words to describe the amazing situation of the house, and the views and surroundings are beyond compare. It is also such a joy to stay with our dog and to feel that he is as welcome as we are. Anne and Peter [the owners] are friendly, kind, and obvious dog lovers. They were kind enough to let us stay out of season due to a special occasion. We had such a wonderful week and would love to return in the future.
M Harrison, Northampton

05 October 2019
Amazing view and location! The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and the directions were clear. But the most enjoyable thing was waking up to that view - watching the changing weather, the fishing boats leaving the harbour and being so close to the coast path and the walks. Incredible.
Helen Jackson

03 July 2019
Our 2-week stay in White Feather from 25/5/19 was idyllic, with perfect views in a quiet, peaceful location. The accommodation was well equipped and very comfortable to relax in and, with the decking, enjoyable times soaking up the views. There were a few minor housekeeping issues but they didn't deter our enjoyment of our stay. However, 2 days after returning home, the representative of Cadgwith Cottages contacted us on instruction from the owners to withhold our security deposit. The drains had blocked about half an hour prior to our departure, which we advised the owners, but we were wrongly accused of depositing wet wipes which caused the problem. We emphatically refuted this and responded to the representative stating we do not use wipes, or dispose items down the toilet. The representative quickly resolved the situation in our favour. However, the gloss had been taken off our holiday by this ill-advised accusation. Perhaps in future the owners would think carefully before taking the action they did.
Mr Doug McCallum, Inverness

02 March 2019
A fantastic cottage with superb views out over the sea and down over Cadgwith Cove. Very well equipped, such friendly and welcoming owners. The proximity to the coastal path was just brilliant. We had lovely walks to the Lizard and the other way to Kennack Sands. Perhaps the most wonderful part was watching the sun rise over the horizon a couple of mornings out of the sitting room window. We will definitely be back to the Annexe.
Ben Hooker, Herts

13 October 2018
We have been holidaying on The Lizard for many years and this has got to be the best property we have stayed in. Views amazing - a truly beautiful place. Also very dog-friendly, with great walks on your doorstep. Can't wait to go back next year. Thank you.

Kirsten Waidelich and family, Germany We spent two wonderful weeks in the cottage. The location is fantastic - the view of the sea at any time of day wonderful. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, nature and the good weather. Peter and Anne were perfect hosts, nice and helpful. We will come back!

12 May 2018
Everything you would want from a holiday cottage is available at White Feather. The accommodation has the most spectacular views over the Cove and cliff tops and regardless of the weather there is a lot to excite visitors. Anne and Peter are warm and friendly hosts. We had a most amazing holiday and did not want to leave the peace and tranquillity that White Feather holds. We have already booked again for November.
Jill Stanley, Bristol

23 July 2016
S Feegrade, Surrey We enjoyed our week at this lovely comfortable holiday home. Anne and Peter were perfect hosts, giving us a warm welcome, making recommendations, but leaving us to get on with our stay. We were largely unaware of being in an annexe to someone's home. The location is wonderful, the view is beautiful and the SW Coast Path just outside the gate, though the house is not visible from the path. There's little need to go beyond the Lizard peninsula - it's such a nice area. We already loved this area from before, but now will always try to stay at this house on any future visits.

11 June 2016
Marie Morgan, Coventry Another lovely stay at White Feather. We particularly liked the sea view and the use of the beautiful lawn area. Also, the cleanliness of the property and the decor. Everything was thought of, such as excellent hairdryer (not the cheap ones which are usual), lovely thick soft towels. Excellent books to browse and the owners' art works, which really add to the character of the property. The outside seating area on the balcony is superb, with the view of the well thought out but very natural surrounding plants.

02 September 2023
We had a lovely time at the annexe. It was comfortable and well equipped. The weather was kind and the views memorable. We were greeted by Peter, who was very helpful, but best of all was meeting Jago. I am sure we will return.
Roger R, Stockport, Cheshire

06 August 2022
Wow! What an incredible place to stay. The description really doesn’t even begin to encapsulate just how stunning the views are from this place, whether you are indoors or out on the decking. The coastal path is just the other side of the garden gate and it’s just a short walk to Cadgwith village. We were able to take our three small dogs, who loved it as much as we did. Will definitely be returning at the first opportunity.
Louise and Stephen, Leicester

03 July 2021
Thank you for rearranging our Covid-hit holiday dates at White Feather. At last we were able to get to Cadgwith and enjoy the amazing scenery and walks around the Lizard. White Feather is the best place to be to see the changing weather and we were fortunate enough to enjoy some very fine days, even getting a few early morning swims in at the cove. Being regular visitors to White Feather, the Annexe feels comfortable and Anne and Peter are extremely friendly and welcoming. We look forward to our return next year.
Paul and Jill, Bristol

19 October 2019
Another wonderful stay at White Feather. Two weeks of relaxation, going to the beaches with our dog and exploring other parts of Cornwall. We will definitely be back. Thank you Anne, Peter and lovely Jago.
Michelle R, Aldridge, West Midlands

Response to Mr McCallum: We are sorry that there was any upset. We acted on the report from the drainage engineer which, in retrospect, could have been incorrect.

A wonderful stay at White Feather. The views were amazing - it took my breath away. The pictures do not do it justice - it is better in the flesh! I have holidayed in Cadgwith many times and White Feather was perfect for me.

Roy and Phyl Gibson, Hertfordshire Our second stay at White Feather, and good to have two weeks instead of one this year. Our hosts Anne and Peter were perfect - there if we needed them but otherwise they kept themselves to themselves. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the view of the sea was wonderful. What a view to wake up to! We will definitely be returning next year....can't wait!!

19 May 2018
Sohani Hayhurst, Oxford As always a wonderful stay. Everything sparkling clean, lovely bed linen and towels. Appreciate environmentally friendly products. A couple of small details - cafetiere not working well for example - but the rest was marvellous and I hope to book for next year.

06 August 2016
Sally Dunlop, NE Lincs We have just had the most blissful two weeks at White Feather. Its location, the fantastic views and the home were just incredible. We found Anne and Peter the most perfect hosts. The problem now is trying to find somewhere better for next summer, but I somehow can't see it, so we will just play safe and book for next year. Amazing place.

25 June 2016
Bruce Richardson, Lincolnshire Visit Cornwall often and have stayed in some lovely cottages, but this one surpasses everything we have stayed in before. The views from the large windows are outstanding. Anne and Peter are perfect hosts - helpful without being intrusive. Highly recommended.

The Hodge-Sellers/Holland family Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely home. It is absolutely beautiful and you've been incredible hosts. We hope to come and stay again.

REVIEWS FOR BASS POINT COTTAGE

30 October 2021
We had a wonderful stay at Bass Point Cottage and booked to return while only on the third day of our original stay. The location and views are incredible and the cottage warm and very comfortable. October had been very wet in advance of our stay and a 4x4 really was needed for access to avoid getting stranded in the mud through the farm (as was apparent in the property description) but this really was a fantastic place to stay!
Rowena and family, Leatherhead, Surrey

12 September 2020
The location of Bass Point Cottage was everything we had hoped for - just wonderful! It would take a long time to get bored with watching the seagulls diving for their supper or spotting the mackerel shoals from the comfort of your deckchair. Inside, the cottage was perfectly clean and comfortable, with a very well equipped kitchen and beautiful bathroom. All in all, we cannot fault it and would very much like to return. We look forward to being back with you next year.
Steve and Tina, Devon

05 June 2021
We had the most glorious week at Bass Point Cottage. What an amazing week of sunshine – we felt very lucky! The location was truly spectacular and the cottage was extremely comfortable. The beds were so comfortable! The welcome hamper was a wonderful treat and greatly enjoyed. Thank you for arranging it all for us. Hopefully we’ll be back again soon.

REVIEWS FOR BAY VIEW

07 October 2023
Bay View is most definitely in an unrivalled location as it sits right next to the beach, with the pub across the road – can’t get much better. We have stayed several times before so knew what to expect and we weren’t disappointed. It is comfortable and well equipped, and although we didn’t need your [Cadgwith Cove Cottages] services on this occasion we know from past experience that you are always quick to respond and friendly too. Thanks again for a lovely Cornish break. We’ll be back.
Martin and Nancy, Warwickshire

24 September 2022
We have stayed at this property several times and the location is idyllic as it directly overlooks the beach where the working fishing boats rest. The house is very comfortable and beautifully furnished with lots of character. Jeanette and Margaret are lovely hosts and the property is only a few steps away from the excellent Cadgwith Cove Inn.
Mr and Mrs Clegg, London

25 June 2022
We absolutely loved our stay at Bay View. The location is amazing and the cottage was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. We plan to return next year.

19 September 2020
Lovely accommodation – spotlessly clean, with lovely hosts. We stayed at Bay View several years ago so knew it was in a wonderful position overlooking the cove. The cottage is beautifully decorated. A few required kitchen items had been removed for Covid reasons but we mentioned this to Jeanette and it was sorted out very quickly.
Marilyn and Geoff, London

07 September 2019
It has been very special staying at Cadgwith - 3 generations of our family together. It was baby Emily's first holiday! She enjoyed the experience, particularly the birds, the sea, Thomas the cat and meeting Jeanette and Margaret. The kayaking was a big highlight for some of the family - really recommend it!
Rob Fraser and family, Surrey

24 August 2019
We had a wonderful stay at Bay View. The cottage was great, with super comfy beds and everything you could need. The setting was idyllic, watching the sea and the fishermen coming and going. The pub behind the cottage with its excellent food was also a bonus. A lovely village and a perfect holiday.
R Booth, North Yorkshire

20 July 2019
Waking up to the waves lapping on the shore, seeing fishermen launch their boats out to sea. What a wonderful place to stay whilst celebrating a special occasion! Our thanks to Jeanette and Margaret for sharing their lovely cottage and for the most welcome milk, biscuits and flowers.
Colin and Celia, Derbyshire

20 April 2019
Lovely house! Beautiful views. Loved sitting on a lounger rather than the pebbly beach. We are regular visitors to Cadgwith and this is definitely the best house! Thank you Jeanette and Margaret for letting us stay.

23 February 2019
A fabulous week. The weather for February has been glorious. We spent the week walking coastal footpaths. We even tired out our springer spaniel Daisy. It was very restful listening to the waves crashing on the beach, being cosy and warm inside Bay View. Lovely location, very comfortable cottage.
Carol, Robert and Daisy, Somerset

22 September 2018

29 July 2017
Ellie Whyte, Dorset Bay View was as lovely as usual. We keep hoping the owners might install a stronger shower and it would be lovely if they provided towels [owner's note: towels are to be provided from 2018] but everything else in the house was lovely. We will be back next year.

16 September 2023
Once again we were looking forward to our holidays in Cadgwith, and we were not disappointed! Bay View is a wonderful cottage, the location is fantastic and we enjoyed every day to the full, especially as the weather was much better than the forecast. We would love to come back.
Theresa and Peter, Switzerland

27 August 2022
We loved staying at Bay View. Such a treat to be right on the beach and a brilliant suntrap all day. We found it so relaxing to have the sound of the sea all day. The cottage was sparklingly clean, had all we needed and to have our linen changed half-way was an unexpected treat. The welcome pack was also much appreciated. The owner was very welcoming and it was lovely to chat to her. The cottage is in a great location, with paddleboarding, kayaking and just pottering about on the beach all just a few steps away. Thank you for the privilege of staying in such a lovely place.
Jane S and family, Brighton

24 April 2021
We had a glorious week in Cadgwith staying at Bay View, which is right on the beach. The cottage itself is very comfortable. The real joy is the location – being in Cadgwith, being able to overlook the beach with the fishing boats and sit in the little garden. That, together with the delightful coastal walks and the stunning views, made us wonder why we had not been back for ten years – so much so that we have already booked for next year.
Malcolm T, Oxfordshire

22 August 2020
Wonderful holiday. Great location and Jeanette was a delight to chat to about the history of the property. Thank you for allowing us to rent this magical home. We hope to be back next year.
Angela, Adrian, Cameron and Sinead, Huddersfield

30 August 2019
We had a wonderful time in Cadgwith. Enjoyed the fabulous views, paddling, swimming, climbing in the cove. Lovely cottage and garden. Great walks locally, usually ending with 'Moo' ice-cream. Nice to have a garden right on the beach, where we enjoyed the regatta and the fishermen's barbecue. An added bonus - Thomas, the resident cat, plodding through to his 'lookout'.
Helen and Adam, Kitty and Ambrose, Suffolk

03 August 2019
Bay View and Cadgwith fulfilled all expectations. Thank you Jeanette and Margaret for making us feel so at home. We loved the house and the cove, where we paddled, kayaked and swam at every available opportunity. We hope we will be back next year.
Roger, Sarah, Bethany and Emilia, Cumbria

04 May 2019
We all stayed for our 30th wedding anniversary. A lovely stay with amazing views each day. We watched the fishermen, walked loads and ate and drank each day in the area. We come here often and it has a special place in our hearts. Thank you so much.

30 March 2019
A glorious week in Cadgwith. Our annual visits to Poldhu beach, Kynance Cove, Perranuthnoe - all were a joy. The fishing boats went out most days; we went to the pub across the road every night. Seren, our border collie, loved all the dog-friendly beaches. We will be back.
Pete, Carol and Seren, Oxfordshire (miles from the sea)

13 October 2018
We have just returned from Bay View, where we have wanted to stay for a long time. We were blown away (almost literally!) by the cottage, the cove and the location. Jeanette and Margaret were lovely and very welcoming - if we needed anything we only had to ask. We really appreciated the lovely TV too - so often in small cottages you get a tiny and not very good telly. We have already booked to return.
Janet Wheeler, Herts

24 March 2018
Peter Olner, Sutton Coldfield Bay View was as wonderful as ever. A beautiful property, which has been refurbished since our last stay, and is so comfortable. Lovely owner next door as well.

08 July 2017
Keith Scott, Northampton We had a very enjoyable holiday at Bay View, with its superb location and comfortable accommodation. Having stayed previously at Ruan Minor, we were familiar with Cadgwith both for its beauty and authenticity, and not forgetting Monty Halls and the BBC. A few suggestions for improvements - the bathroom door was extremely difficult to lock and the installation of better wardrobes would benefit the holidaymaker and enhance the spec of the property (these comments are observations and not complaints).[Owner's note - issues being addressed for 2018]. Truly a magical location and we hope to return soon.

REVIEWS FOR BIRDSONG STUDIO

14 July 2023
The studio was quiet and well equipped, with lovely views over the garden and surrounding countryside. There were footpaths close by and a shop/café within a short walking distance (along path to nearby village). Debbie was very warm and friendly. The bread baked by her husband was delicious (available fresh several days a week). I would be very happy to go again.
Sarah B, Norfolk

Lovely comfortable accommodation in beautiful peaceful location. Everything you need for a perfect stay. Weather much better than forecast so have had plenty of good walks. The bus service is very good in the area. Thank you for the wine and bread. Have already recommended Birdsong to my sister and brother-in-law. Will be sorry to leave.
Janet and Charlie, Nottingham

08 June 2022
We recommend this ideal place to stay, with lovely views of the garden and fields from the lounge window, and fitted out with all you need. The owners make you very welcome with a tray of goodies and are always ready to help with any problems you may have and info of local walks. The short walk to Cadgwith cove or the local shop along footpaths gives you the slower pace of life and tranquility opening up to an unspoilt gem.
Pete M, Derby

20 August 2021
We had a lovely stay. It was great to have access to so many lovely places nearby, as well as relaxing in the beautiful bird-filled garden. Debbie and Stevyn were kind and generous hosts, giving us lots of extra goodies.

10 October 2020
A wonderful week staying in Birdsong Studio, which we found really comfortable and well kitted out. Having the artisan bakery literally next door was lovely and we struggled to choose between fresh rolls and pasties for lunch. The studio is very conveniently placed between the sea and the facilities of the village, and some days we didn’t need the car. Debbie and Stevyn were on hand to help with any queries. It will be lovely to come back again when the weather is a bit warmer to make the most of sitting outside in their beautiful garden. We would strongly recommend this studio for any couple to visit this wonderful part of the UK.
Suzi and Paul, Reading

We had a wonderful break in Birdsong Studio. The place itself was impeccably clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The location is perfect - on a quiet country road, near some great walks, and good for exploring stunning Cornwall. We enjoyed the delicious artisan bread sold on a small stall outside the cottage each morning, and there's also a dairy farm nearby to pick up fresh local produce. We couldn't have wished for a more relaxing stay.

We loved our stay at Birdsong Studio. It was such a relaxing place to spend a first holiday in Cornwall. Simple but well organised accommodation, with a lovely outdoor seating area and off street parking. Debbie and Steve welcomed us with tea, handmade flapjack and focaccia and left a great handwritten guidebook with instructions for local walks, things to see etc. We couldn’t have had a better trip, will be recommending the place to friends and hopefully going back!

14 April 2017
Trevor and Mary Jameson, Dorset Birdsong is a charming, quiet property set in a glorious unspoilt landscape. The owners (plus pets) are very welcoming and the bread and wine on arrival most acceptable. We met friendly locals wherever we went, especially at the Cadgwith Cove Inn.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Bowjy Cottage, which is the perfect place to relax and to discover the beautiful landscape of The Lizard. We loved Bowjy Cottage. As we are keen walkers of the coastal path we could easily travel to the various places starting from its location in Rosenithon. After a short walk to St Keverne the buses took us to many stops along the Lizard peninsula. All in all we walked from Mullion, via Kynance Cove, the Lizard, Coverack to Helford Passage within several days. And every day it was a joy to come back to this tastefully decorated cottage with its stunning views. The house itself is clean, spacious and well provided with all that is needed for a perfect holiday. The owners are very friendly and helpful, making us feel really at home on their farm. Thank you so much!

We had a brilliant week in Bowjy Cottage. What a fantastic cottage and a truly marvellous location. Our daughter fell in love with the animals on the farm. The cottage had everything we needed - we really didn't need to take all the kitchen stuff we packed! It's a wonderful holiday cottage and I hope we are able to visit again next year.

Our first holiday in Cornwall and a great week in this beautiful cottage. Calm, sunshine and the sea - wonderful! Thank you for this unforgettable time.

02 June 2018
A fabulous stay at Bowjy - definitely one of our best holidays ever. The beach was fantastic. We loved having barbecues down there, and also sitting outside in the morning having breakfast. We went for loads of walks and visited lots of places, including St Michael's Mount and Roskilly's. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year.
Bray family, Exeter, Devon

A wonderful week. We swam at Godrevy every day and sailed from St Anthony. Also a successful trip to the Minack Theatre - rain free, but wrap up warm! Thank you for the lovely cottage.

15 July 2017
A wonderful visit to Bowjy. Beautiful cottage - so clean and the best view ever. Beautiful flowers in the garden as well. We have visited lots of new places and walked the coastal path to Coverack and the other way to Porthallow - both beautiful. The Fat Apples café on the road to Porthallow is just amazing - well worth a visit or two. Thank you Anthony and Sheila for being so hospitable.

17 September 2016
Teresa and Robert Cowley, Cardiff Really enjoyed our stay at Bowjy. Quiet and peaceful, with spectacular views. We made full use of the "5 Walks Around St Keverne" book. Loved seeing the plants in the hedgerows and the butterflies and moths on the vegetation. We went to the Seal Sanctuary in Gweek and had a fascinating day there. Food at the Greenhouse was excellent (monkfish), with cheery service, and fish and chips from the van on Friday was very good.

03 September 2016
Lisa, Jon and family, Exmouth, Devon Wow! What a find Bowjy Cottage is. We have enjoyed the most wonderful week here. Thank you for providing such a clean, beautiful cottage that had everything we needed. We enjoyed walking down to Godrevy Cove, and up the lane and across the ponds to enjoy amazing ice cream at Roskilly's. We loved Porthallow and would definitely recommend a pint of Proper Job and dinner at The Five Pilchards. Our other food delights included pasties (enormous!) at Porthleven and a cream tea at the little café at Kennack Sands. However, our most enjoyable times were sitting in the sunny garden watching the ships go by, meeting the cows and having cheeky little visits from Bron (the dog) who we all loved. We can leave here feeling relaxed and ready to face a new term.

08 July 2023
We had a lovely week at Bowjy Cottage. The cottage itself was perfect for our family group – we especially enjoyed the garden and patio area at the back. It was amazing sitting on the lawn looking at the sea view and having breakfast in amongst the flowers looking out to sea every day. I don’t think the photographs did full justice to the cottage! – especially the outside dining area and the garden. The quiet location at the end of the lane was really lovely – lots of birdsong. It was all clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a shame about the path to the beach [due to reopen for 2024] as it meant we didn’t go down to the cove as often as we would have liked. However, we appreciate it was out of your/the owner’s control and were very grateful for your efforts in looking into this. We have used Cadgwith Cove Cottages before and were equally pleased last time.

We had a lovely week at Bowjy Cottage. The cottage was nice and cosy, and what a fabulous view! The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. The farmer and his family were friendly and welcoming. We spent the week on the beach – swimming, fishing, walking and blackberry picking. We will definitely be coming back to the Lizard!

11 August 2018
We have had a lovely week. The cottage is amazing - we feel so lucky to have found it. We have been very lucky with the weather and have been to the beach every day. No need to explore other beaches - this one is perfect! The bar has been set very high for any future trips to Cornwall. We may just have to come back to Bowjy!

26 May 2018
Our second visit to Chenhale and our first to Bowjy - impeccable, welcoming, comfortable. So tastefully furnished, with great attention to detail, which did not go unnoticed. The cleanliness was unsurpassed. Weather fantastic, so most mornings gazing out to sea sitting on the patio with breakfast - perfect! Bowjy ticked all our holiday wish-list boxes, so we will definitely be returning.

We've been to Bowjy so many times that it's difficult to say new things, except to say that our repeat visits are for a reason! Despite poor weather we've had a fantastic holiday. Thank you again for sharing this small part of heaven with us. See you next year.

Linda and Rich Linegar, Surrey What a wonderful welcome! Spectacular views from the conservatory and from the garden - really relaxing. Bowjy is just lovely - already booked to come back next year. Saw a seal down on the beach, and at Lowland Point on the walk to Coverack and back. Lovely lunches at Roskilly's and really tasty pizzas from the woodfired oven in the evenings. Not to mention the ice creams....We have had a fabulously lazy, relaxing time here and will be back next September.

21 May 2016
Janet and Richard Wall and family, Dorset Our second visit to Chenhale and our first time in Bowjy. Have spent a lovely, relaxing week here in this wonderful place. Plenty of ambling walks through woods full of bluebells, wild garlic and birdsong. Heard our first cuckoo! Far too many ice creams at Roskilly's!! The scenery at Kynance Cove took our breath away, as did the descent on rather slippy steps! Hoping to return in the not too distant future.

We had another really nice week at Bramble Cottage. The welcome pack on arrival was a really nice touch and the cottage was as well kept as always. It was a real pleasure dealing with you throughout the booking process. It’s such a pleasure to be able to pick up the phone and talk to you. It is superb customer service at a time when most companies are retreating behind website FAQs and unhelpful web chat bots.

Nikas, Poonam, Joshita and Manish A great stay. The cottage is quiet but not too quiet to make you feel like you're alone. The location is great. There are so many fascinating things to do in the area.

28 July 2017
Amy, James and Ryan, Bolton A nice relaxing stay - quiet at night. A good base for lots of days out and well equipped with everything we needed. Enjoyed St Michael's Mount, Mousehole and Roskilly's ice-cream. The Old Cider Barn just down the road is also good for local produce.

We had such a lovely stay at Bramble Cottage. Everything was clean and just what we needed for a brilliant holiday. We will not forget our time here. David [the owner] could not do enough to be helpful via e-mail (and is an excellent artist too!) We will definitely recommend this place to others.

26 May 2023
Wow! We had a fabulous week at Bramley Cottage. It is so cosy and well-equipped – everything we needed. We walked along cliff paths most days: to Lizard and return along the Double Hedge; Kennack Sands, visiting Poltesco ruins on the way – quite special! Lizard to Kynance Cove and return; Helford – walk to Frenchman’s Creek; Coverack – lovely cove and walk to headland. We had fabulous whitebait for lunch at the Polpeor Café at Lizard Point, where we were treated to sightings of several seals. We were overwhelmed by the beautiful wildflowers along the cliff paths – so diverse and pretty. David has been really helpful trying to sort out WiFi connections. Thank you for a wonderful week – we hope to return. And thank you again for the welcome gifts of flowers, scones and cream and jam.

17 June 2022
A second visit and such a lovely cottage. Everything you need is here, and more! The welcome cream tea and flowers are thoughtful gestures. We found more places to explore this year and walked on beaches and the cliff path for miles. Driving to Kynance Cove early in the day was a huge success, especially as the tide was out. Coverack is well worth a visit. There are lots of places to eat out, but buying and cooking the fish from the shop in Cadgwith is a must – totally delicious. The Gear Farm pasties and sausage rolls make the short journey very worthwhile. The sun keeps shining when we visit Cadgwith. We must return again. Thank you Liz and David for making us so welcome. PS – the bird song is amazing.

What a gem of a property! It’s a country retreat by the coast! Bramley Cottage is extremely comfortable, full of atmosphere and very well equipped. The bed is comfortable, the sofas are comfortable – it is just so cosy and relaxing. The garden, which gets the sun all day, is a huge bonus, as well as easy parking. 16 October 2021
We had a wonderful stay at Bramley Cottage – everything was absolutely great. We particularly appreciated that you were able to help us find this property when our first choice proved unavailable. Bramley Cottage was almost certainly better for our needs in terms of comfort, attractiveness and location, so it worked out well. The cottage was charming and well-equipped. The welcoming touches – scones, flowers, logs – were all much appreciated and we would certainly stay there again if we were in the area. Many thanks to you, and the cottage’s owners, for a very happy visit.

03 September 2021
Cadgwith, Bramley Cottage and its garden were an absolute delight. Apart from braining myself on the low door a number of times, the cottage was very thoroughly clean, light and uncluttered. We may well book it again next year.

25 June 2021
We stayed at Bramley cottage. It was blissful. Weather was good, area was stunning, loved the local farm shop, artisan bread maker and the general stores at Ruan Minor. Would love to come back. We couldn’t fault the cottage at all - fresh flowers and a cream tea on our arrival which gave a wonderful start to our holiday. We will be back for sure.
Steve Kenyon, Hayling Island

11 June 2021
We had a wonderful week in Cadgwith and in Bramley Cottage. Having visited Cadgwith before, we knew that we were coming to a wonderfully authentic Cornish village. Bramley Cottage was a perfect base. It is charming, very comfortable and well kitted out with everything we might need. The garden is beautiful and was wonderful to sit in during the evening. A barbecue would have been a great asset to the cottage so we could barbecue fresh fish from the village. We will certainly be back.

REVIEWS FOR CAERTHILLIAN HOUSE

We loved staying at Caerthillian House. Everything about it was just so good – lots of space, great kitchen, comfy bedroom, balcony with stunning views, very quiet. It is a superb location.
Paul B, Lancashire

10 September 2017
Jane Talbot, Bucks What fantastic views - one can just sit and watch the squalls pass over the water and the shipping going by. The neighbour's llamas add a touch of the exotic to the view. Pink not my scene but I love the pink kitchen, equipped with everything to cook delicious meals. Most cottages fall down on the kitchen knives and I usually bring my own. Not unpacked it this time. Love the new carpets and the little touches - welcoming cream tea, TV in bedroom, tissues at strategic points..... Also love the light and space and feeling at home. Hope to come again.

30 June 2017
Margaret and George and Tia the dog, South Ayrshire We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage, which is truly a home from home. In over 30 years of holidaying in Cornwall this cottage, with its spectacular views, is at the top! Thank you for the cream tea, which we enjoyed. We hope to be back and will recommend to friends and family.

23 September 2016
Maria and Denis, London Our second stay at Caerthillian House. Very relaxing, beautiful views. Tremendous walks, our favourite being Lizard to Cadgwith along the coastal path - part coastal, part hedgerow, with an abundance of insects and butterflies. Lunch at Cadgwith and, if we are feeling energetic, onwards to Kennack Sands. Flat is so comfortable, well-equipped, clean and light. Will definitely be coming back again.

20 May 2016
Mike and Shirley, Gloucester Have stayed at various holiday homes at the Lizard over the past 20 years, but this cottage has been by far the best: clean, tidy, roomy and welcoming. Thank you for everything, including the Cornish cream tea.

14 August 2015
Karen and Glenn, Birmingham We really enjoyed our week's stay in this beautiful, comfortable house, especially the amazing views. We couldn't have wished for a better positioned place - sea views but in the centre of the village. Thank you for the cream tea too. Hope to return in the not too distant future.

07 August 2020

18 August 2017
Kevin and Penny, Stourbridge, West Midlands What an amazing holiday! Caerthillian House exceeded all our expectations. Luxurious home from home. All mod cons and extra little touches, which mean such a lot. Amazing views and we loved the alpacas. We did lots of walking and had the most fabulous holiday. We will be back soon.

25 May 2017
Eve and Nigel Thirlaway, Hampshire Lovely 2 weeks in a brilliant cosy cottage with everything we needed. Views from the balcony spectacular. Home from home - funky kitchen, cosy bed too. Loads of coastal walking and seen 2 choughs at Lizard Point. Going to miss the views and the house so much.

19 August 2016
Ian and Sarah, Penrith, Lake District This wonderful place certainly exceeded our expectations. The cream tea welcome was very much appreciated after a long journey. The view from the lounge is outstanding. Walks along the coastal path and visits to Polpeor Café have made it a special place for us. Weather has been wonderful and has helped make this a memorable holiday.

19 February 2016
Yvonne and Stanley Clarkson, Northamptonshire A truly warm and cosy stay, with panoramic views. The week has been sunny yet again for us here in Cornwall - just one hail storm on our last day. Certainly enough space to store our cycles, walking boots, poles etc - thank you.

22 May 2015
Liz and Malcolm Parry and Dougie, Northants Wow! We love it down here and come every spring. We love walking around the coastal path and found the "5 walks" book here very useful. Plenty of fresh air and exercise, plenty of good food (what a fantastic kitchen!), fantastic views from the house and a really comfy bed. Bliss! The cream tea set the tone - thank you - and Dougie woofs thanks for his biscuits.

REVIEWS FOR CAMPION COTTAGE

We loved our stay at Campion Cottage. From the long walks along the coastal trails to the warm fire in the evening. It was the perfect relaxing holiday. A very special spot on this earth. We’ll be back!

29 September 2023
I have been coming to Cadgwith since I was 4 years old. It is such a beautiful place and I just feel at home when I am there. It was our first time staying in Campion Cottage but I have family members who used to stay there when they first discovered Cadgwith over 40 years ago. The cottage is a little dated and could probably do with a touch of modernising. Nonetheless it is still absolutely beautiful and has plenty of character. We would definitely stay there again in the future. We often sat on the bench at the front having a glass of wine and listening to the sea. The cottage is also a stone’s throw from the pub so the wind blew us there most nights! The cottage is also well equipped. Cadgwith is my favourite place on earth – it just never disappoints. Thank you for being so easy to deal with. Fabulous company.
Kerry W, Wigan

A cosy cottage, in a lovely location - a recipe for a great family holiday.
The Dart family, Sherborne

17 June 2019
If you want to experience an authentic Cornish cottage then this is the place for you. Equipped with everything you need, comfy beds, electric blankets. A stone's throw away from the local pub. WiFi in the cottage worked perfectly, which was great as little to no reception for mobile until you get higher outside the village. On entering we were greeted with milk, coffee and biscuits - perfect for a cuppa after a long journey. A great base to visit other places on The Lizard, or beautiful enough to stay put and enjoy Cadgwith itself.
Hayley Stephens

03 August 2018
We've stayed in lots of Cadgwith Cove cottages and we enjoyed Campion too - good kitchen provisions and thank you for the Treleague Dairy milk. We visited the farm shop a lot - good cream tea there - and good bread from the artisan stall in St Ruan. Great walk Cadgwith to Coverack and then Roskilly's (about 12 miles return trip). Coast is nice for coffee and breakfast in Lizard village and Retallack's good as a deli and butcher. Enjoyed kayaking out of the cove and also boarding at Kennack and Poldhu. Kynance really over-crowded.
The Dyes, Winchester, Hants

25 February 2018
Ali and Tim, Cambridge Such a lovely cottage in an idyllic spot near the beach and the coastal walks, which were spectacular (Mullion Cove to Coverack). Woodburner cosy.

22 September 2017
Colin and Debs, Lapford, Devon Loved the cottage, and Cadgwith. Wonderful walks along the coast path and really enjoyed buying and cooking fresh fish from the cove. Also some good nights in the pub! A great week of de-stressing.

Melanie and Paul Cook, Salisbury, Wiltshire Loved the cottage and its location. We stayed at Cadgwith 25 years ago and it has not changed. We love it here. Really appreciate the extra touches - flowers, coffee, tea etc.

20 October 2023
We had a marvellous holiday and absolutely loved Campion Cottage. We were very sad to leave. We enjoyed two lovely meals at the Cadgwith Cove Inn and enjoyed seeing the local Cadgwith singers on the Friday night. The community spirit is so lovely to see and we would love to come back. The cottage was clean and well looked after The log burner was very welcome when we had a couple of cold nights. The beds were very comfortable and the bath was very welcoming after a few days walking! Our small dog, Daisy, also enjoyed her stay. We highly recommend the cottage and lovely village.
Ian and Gill, Derby

09 September 2022
Cosy cottage. Had restful week. Lovely walks. Enjoyed the pub.

03 September 2021
An excellent week. Squeezed lots in – Porthcurno, Minack Theatre, long coastal walks to Lizard, Kynance and Kennack, St Michael’s Mount, Marazion beach, Jubilee Pool and St Ives. We love Cadgwith and this area. If it could always be sunny like this we might never leave. Cottage itself really sweet but in need of some love – mattresses very tired [Owner’s note, Nov 2021: mattresses in twin and bunk rooms have now been replaced] and tap and flush in bathroom have seen better days. Quick fixes but would make a big difference to the experience.
Ellis family, Bristol

Black family, Surrey Thank you for a lovely stay. We stay in Cadgwith a lot but this was the first time at Campion Cottage. We all absolutely loved it. We enjoyed lovely walks and celebrated our daughter's birthday. Even though it said 'no' to a sea view, all you had to do was open the front door and look left. Perfect.

18 August 2017
Hunter family, Great Bedwyn, Wiltshire The whole family loved the cottage and the area. Kayaking from the cove a favourite, also the huge cream tea at the café! Felt like home. Little bits and bobs left really lovely, so thank you.

Peers-Dent family, Malmesbury, Wiltshire A fabulous week. We particularly enjoyed Kynance Cove (even though it was wet and windy). A trip to Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre also very memorable. Cadgwith itself is charming. Pub quiz Monday nights (we came 2nd!) and good food. Hope to come back.

We had a wonderful week at Carlton Cottage. It was beautifully clean, well equipped, very comfortable and we liked the position in the village. We were made to feel very welcome, with a bottle of wine and a bowl of fresh fruit. As commented before, the bathroom could be a bit bigger – we managed it well but it would be rather restricted for anyone with a mobility issue. We would certainly book it again.

14 September 2019
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carlton Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable, well-equipped and well cared for, inside and out. Nice position in the village and easy access down to the cove. The bathroom is a bit on the small side, but this has to be balanced against a really good bedroom space and wouldn't put us off booking again. We had a most enjoyable final evening down at the cove inn for the sea shanty singing that we hope to join in with next year.

We had such a wonderful time at Carlton Cottage. A massive thank you to the owners for being such friendly and hospitable hosts, and providing such a well-equipped, tidy and clean cottage. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in! Thanks also for the welcoming goodies and lovely roses, and especially the freshly caught fish. The weather was brilliant and we had a great time swimming at Kynance, and an interesting swim in the cove with compass jellyfish! We have already booked again for next year.

We had a lovely stay at Carlton Cottage. It’s clean, bright, cosy and has a well-equipped kitchen. The location is great. It’s a nice quiet village and the house is right by the shop. It’s a stroll from Cadgwith Cove, where we swam and ate dinner a few times. Great spot! Couldn’t recommend it more. Great value for money too!

Carlton Cottage exceeded our expectations, especially the well-equipped kitchen. The standard of the cottage is excellent and we will be singing its praises, as well as those of Cadgwith and the surrounding coastline. We have had a fantastic holiday here in Cornwall. PS - the lobsters were unbelievably yummy.

Our first visit to Chenhale - what a lovely cottage in idyllic surroundings. Recommend Sunday lunch at the New Yard restaurant at Trelowarren - after we went we read in the paper that it was the best Sunday lunch in the South West! Thank you for a lovely base for a perfect holiday.

23 September 2016
Stu and Pat, Oxford People come to Chenhale time and again and it's not hard to see why....The cottage has everything and is one of the cleanest we have encountered in more than 20 years of holidaying in Cornwall. The area is wonderfully peaceful and the walk to the beach a delight. Just a shame the fish weren't biting for me! Our recommendations would be the Greenhouse in St Keverne, Prince of Wales at Newtown and the pub at Cadgwith Cove (good Sunday lunch).

20 May 2016
Gilly and Len, Dorset Thank you so much for a wonderful week in your lovely cottage and for such a warm welcome, as well as all the extra special little touches, which were very much appreciated. We have had a wonderful and very relaxing week in this beautiful part of Cornwall. The cottage is such a peaceful haven, and has such a beautiful garden. Absolute heaven! We can't wait for our next visit.

24 August 2018
As always a lovely welcome to such a cosy cottage. We managed lots of coastal walks, lunches and dinners in the local pubs, and a lovely lunch in the café at Lizard Point. Spectacular views everywhere, and we saw seals again in the local waters. Thank you.

13 June 2018
A magical week at Chenhale. Our dream cottage, blessed with wonderful weather - breakfast in the garden watching Mrs Blackbird feed her babies, friendly sparrows and robins - it was as good as 'Springwatch'. We enjoyed good food at the local pubs, and the best scones, meringues, fudge, ice cream etc at Roskilly's. Thank you for your hospitality and for the biscuits and jug of milk - much appreciated. We shall return.
John and Madge, Berkshire

Despite heavy rain, a wonderful stay at a lovely cottage. What a great place for young couples, and not so young ones! We loved the peace and quiet, and the garden and surroundings. When the sun did shine the birds were calling everywhere. We heard tawny owls each night. Thank you so much - everything was perfect.
Stephen and Dee, Dorset

Another lovely and relaxing week in this cosy little cottage. Weather quite good, except for one day of rain and fog, but a pleasure to stay warm in the cottage, with books. We hope to be back again soon.

Sara and Mike Davis, Hampshire What can we say?! The cottage is absolutely fantastic in every respect - it has everything we needed and could have wanted. We had a wonderful time exploring the area. It's so great to be so close to most places on the Lizard peninsula. The walk down to the beach is breathtaking and the views even more so. We loved St Keverne and also the nearby villages of Coverack and Cadgwith. All the locals are so very helpful and friendly - we just ask their advice on anything and they are ever ready to oblige. We hope to come back soon to stay - it feels like a second home for us!

05 August 2016
Emma Ducasse, France A pretty cottage in a peaceful location. Warm welcome with tea, coffee and biscuits and fresh flowers! We loved the veranda. Clean, tidy and the bed was comfortable. Excellent area for coastal walks and visits to breathtaking places. I'd like to thank staff at Cadgwith Cove Cottages who were always available and very efficient and friendly. Our only suggestion would be to include a few more basic products for cleaning and/or cooking, particularly for overseas visitors who are not likely to bring those with them. Thanks for a lovely stay.

13 April 2016
Jane and Christopher Fenton, Somerset A delightful stay in peaceful flower-filled surroundings. The primroses just added to the joy of our stay. The cottage is tasteful and comfortable. We will definitely recommend Chenhale to our friends and relatives.

REVIEWS FOR CHY AN REENE

16 September 2022
The Lizard village is a busy place but Chy an Reene is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac with quick and easy access to the village. Lizard is an ideal location for walking around the peninsula, with numerous circular footpaths to and around the lighthouse and the lovely cafes nearby. There are plenty of good places to eat in the village. The accommodation itself is comfortable, with little noise. We slept well and everything worked.
Clare and John, Wallingford, Oxon

25 September 2020
My week at Chy an Reene was great. The cottage was beautiful and quiet, with a safe 5-minute walk to Lizard Green. Having the owners living down the road meant if I had any little questions or queries they were there to solve them. The only thought I had was a lack of mirrors – the one in the bathroom was the only one there. Not a problem was had and I have to commend the owners on a lovely cottage.
R Finn, Kent

28 September 2018

Frost family, Exeter, Devon We had a fantastic week - thank you. The house was clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a great position. We were so grateful for the milk on arrival (and the pretty flowers). Our children enjoyed the garden. We loved being so close to some beautiful beaches, lovely walks and we also enjoyed the Minack Theatre. A great location we will recommend.

J Clarke and family, Sussex A lovely holiday home - clean, spacious and ideal for everywhere on the Lizard. We have spent a very comfortable time here. Thank you for the extra attention and thought in the way of flowers, milk etc. Everything is immaculate. We would happily recommend this holiday home.

29 July 2016
Chy an Reene was a lovely bungalow, with everything you needed, including space for my in-laws very large dog, Mia. The location was perfect for walks along the coastal path, a pasty at Ann's Pasties or an ice cream in the village. We would definitely return.

13 September 2019
We thoroughly enjoy our stays at Chy an Reene. It is convenient to the village, being a short 5-minute walk to the green. A quiet location, with a lovely view. The bungalow is spacious, light and airy. We have always found it to be spotlessly clean, well-equipped and cosy. A turn of the thermostat and the central heating is on. The conservatory overlooking the rear garden is a peaceful place and sunshine heats it up quickly. We also find the booking system is very efficient and the website is excellent - giving all the right information and pictures to match. Thank you also for the newsletter - we enjoy the history and information. Well done all round to Cadgwith Cove Cottages. We shall be back next year.
Julia and Gerald Barnes, Tenby

18 August 2018
Tony and Jackie Ford, Warwickshire We had an excellent holiday at Chy an Reene. The house was spotless - a great start - and everything that we needed (and more) was available. The enclosed back garden was super dog friendly - it was a massive relief to know that the dog couldn't do a runner. Booking the house was also very easy - all our questions were answered very quickly and accurately. The only slightly negative thing was that the WiFi was very slow, but at least it meant we didn't feel the urge to keep checking for e-mails etc while on holiday.

22 June 2018
Home from home. A super two weeks. Weather, walks, food and ice cream. Enjoyed the garden birds - blackbirds, thrush, goldfinches. A very comfortable and spacious bungalow, well-equipped and clean. Thank you.
Julia and Gerald, Tenby, Pembrokeshire

19 May 2017
Mrs J Barnes, Tenby A lovely holiday at Chy an Reene. The accommodation was comfortable, well appointed and very clean. REVIEWS FOR CORNER HOUSE

22 December 2023
We’ve been to Cadgwith many times but this is the first time we’ve stayed at Corner House. We’ll definitely be coming back! It’s a gorgeous wee cottage – warm and cosy, well-stocked with firewood and nicely furnished with plenty of cushions and rugs. It’s also well located – right next to the Cadgwith Cove Inn and close to the beach. The Prosecco and Christmas treats left out for us on arrival were a really nice touch!
Kirsten, Cambridge

15 September 2023
This was a fantastic holiday. We loved Cadgwith, with its vibrant fishing harbour, and we loved the picturesque cottage. We stayed a week here – it was so relaxing, a completely different pace of life. The cottage is steeped in history and right in the middle of the village, very close to the South West coast path. The walk to Kennack Sands is beautiful. We ate at the Cadgwith Inn most nights – the food was amazing and the staff very friendly. There is also a restaurant open day time and fresh crab sandwiches on the harbour. A lovely week’s holiday. We will be back.

We had a wonderful time in Corner House and really enjoyed the historic nature of the cottage and all the wonderful pictures on the walls. The cottage is well equipped, the beds are comfortable and the terrace is a bonus. The bottle of wine was appreciated, as was the pint of milk. 10 out of 10.

A wonderful stay in this characterful cottage. We loved all the old pictures and photos recording the history of the area. Beautiful walks and wildflowers around the Lizard and we enjoyed buying our fish in the cove for tasty dinners, as well as sampling food and singing at the Inn. The woodburner is a super one!

We enjoyed our mornings sitting with a cup of coffee watching the world go by and then walking along the coastal path. The cottage is perfectly placed for the cove and pub and was beautifully presented and immaculate in all ways. We will be back.

A very relaxing week here at Corner House – a lovely quirky cottage with everything you need. We lit the fire every day as the weather was very windy, cold and rainy, so it was much appreciated. The old stove is amazing – a piece of history right there. Love all the old pictures of Cadgwith. Thank you!

20 September 2019
We had a wonderful week in Corner House - such a lovely, characterful and charming cottage. There was so much history and quirkiness, but also everything you could ask for in a holiday cottage (and all of it working, including the excellent WiFi). It couldn't have been more cosy and comfortable - perfect in every way, including the weather. We will definitely be back.

20 October 2023
Corner House is all about ‘comfort and joy’. The complete authenticity of this wonderful place is really remarkable. The atmosphere of the cove is very welcoming and we enjoyed much local food. Walking in both directions blew away too many cobwebs. The only thing we’d do differently next time is to book two weeks please.

11 September 2020
My sister and I really enjoyed our stay in Corner House. The cottage is comfortable, full of character and well situated in the middle of the village. We particularly liked the terrace at the back where we spent sunny afternoons, the beautiful stained glass in the bathroom door, the cosy living room and the many photos and pictures on the walls. We enjoyed pasties and cider from the gift shop, had a lovely meal at the pub and ate locally caught lobster at the Old Cellars restaurant. To sum it up, we had a great holiday – even the weather co-operated!
Wendy, North Yorkshire

11 October 2019
It was a pleasure and a privilege to stay in Corner House. The love that has gone into everything just beams out, creating a wonderful atmosphere which is unique. We loved coming back after a windy/rainy/sunny cliff walk, lighting the fire and brewing up. (A wonderful collection of marine books too). Don't miss the fishermen singing in the pub on Friday nights, when you'll get a warm welcome from the landlord and his wife. The folk night on Tuesdays is also worth a visit. Leggy's pasties in Ruan Minor are great - a 10 minute walk up the road. Too many things to see and do to mention. A very special treat and we will come back to Cadgwith and wonderful Corner House.

REVIEWS FOR CREEKSIDE

06 March 2015
I have no hesitation recommending this cottage. For us, the location was perfect. The cottage is warm, the beds are comfortable - we felt at home right away. The children were safe to wander to the shop and green area.

06 November 2014
Creekside is a lovely cottage and the perfect place for exploring Cornwall. It is very cosy and homely and offers all that you need for a family holiday. It is near some glorious beaches, but also not far from towns like Falmouth, Truro, St Ives. There are plenty of attractions nearby to amuse the children in case of bad weather. Also plenty of lovely pubs and restaurants to keep the adults happy!

27 February 2015
Creekside Cottage was just perfect for our stay in Cornwall. The cottage was beautifully appointed, with lovely features including a range, Victorian style fireplace and wooden shutters...and that was just in the lounge! With a conservatory, two very good sized double bedrooms, a bunk room and a lovely large bathroom with shower and roll-top bath, we really couldn't have wished for anything more. Fiona and Simon, the owners, did everything to make our stay perfect, from leaving us a bunch of tulips and a cream tea, to coming to check everything was OK and we weren't needing anything. All in all a truly memorable holiday.

20 September 2014
Creekside is a fantastic little terraced cottage in a lovely Cornish village - very close to the shop, which sells lovely fresh bread and all the essentials. The pub is really close by, with good food and beers. On arrival there was a cream tea and fresh flowers, which was very welcoming. The cottage is light and airy and had everything we needed. All in all we had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

What a lovely house! The spot, the view, the love you put into every detail, the welcome gifts. We are so lucky we found this place. We had a great week hiking and cycling around the Lizard. So many things we didn’t see and/or do yet. So, for all the right reasons, we’ll be back.

Creggan Veor is a lovely calm spacious comfortable house with a fantastic view. We had a restful time pottering about and spending time at the house, as well as exploring the Lizard peninsula. Thank you for the warm welcome, with a very generous pack of comestibles. We also appreciated the radiators in the bathrooms being on so we had a seemingly endless supply of warm towels too! The Lizard is a lovely part of Cornwall. Cadgwith Cove is very picturesque, and there are other fantastic wild beaches local to the house. We would like to visit these parts again and would definitely recommend the house.

We were delighted with our stay at Creggan Veor. We loved the location and the absolutely amazing views. The house was a pleasure to come back to. We were lucky to be able to eat out in the garden a few times and admire the views. I could not tire of it! The cream tea on arrival was a real treat, especially after a very long day in the car. Needless to say, the property was very clean, and we were impressed with the provision of cleaning products etc – a useful touch. We were certainly impressed by the property, and also by the assistance prior and during the booking process, and hope to visit again. I am really glad I found your company! We are recommending you to friends.

Finally arrived a year late after Covid postponement. What a delight to be back. The accommodation is superb and the views over Cadgwith enchanting. It feels as though Creggan Veor is becoming our second home – we must now be into double figures staying here and are back again in October – can’t wait! All the very best to Alice and her comrades in arms keeping this beautiful historic property and allowing others to use and enjoy it. Well done.

Wonderful, beautiful house. Very homely, with everything we needed. Wonderful views from everywhere in the house. Luxurious shower rooms - all fantastic. We especially liked the views from the conservatory, watching the sea and the lovely sunsets, and enjoyed having our breakfasts there in the mornings and drinks in the evenings. The garden is so pretty, and Cadgwith is beautiful. Thank you for the lovely touches - wine, biscuits and milk - much appreciated. This was our first visit.....it won't be our last. Will book for next year. Thank you too to the cleaner for leaving us with an immaculate home.

A fabulous stay in an amazing location. We really fell in love with Cadgwith and the views from the house made it even more magical. The house was perfect – so homely and spacious. We enjoyed watching the changing skies from the conservatory, even on a rainy day. Exceptionally clean and well stocked. We will be back.

07 August 2020
What a very special house in a beautiful location. The agapanthus framing the STUNNING view is hard to leave. The conservatory and main bedroom have created such a magical setting to unwind looking down into the cove. Thank you for the wine, flowers etc – much appreciated touches. We appreciated the barbecue too. As well as revisiting favourite haunts (Kynance, Gunwalloe Church Cove, Kennack Sands – to name a few) we discovered the lovely walk down into Cadgwith – left over the cliff tops and into Poltesco – so pretty with the woodland backdrop. The kids had a great time exploring, skimming stones etc and we saw baby moorhens amongst the pond reeds. Recommend the Petite Boulangerie and the farm shop – both an easy walk. Also Roskilly’s for pizza, as well as ice-cream and a lovely art gallery. Would love to return to this house – many thanks.
Jo, Pierre, PJ and Esme, London

27 July 2019
We had a marvellous two weeks of holiday. The house was more than good. Really everything you need in a normal household is available. The kitchen and both bathrooms are more than luxurious. 100% satisfaction (with one exception - my wife and I are very tall and the bed, although comfortable, was not really big enough for us). We would very much like to come back, but do not know what next year brings.
Ferry, Christel, Merel and Brechje, the Netherlands

22 June 2019
Creggan Veor is gorgeous - beautifully appointed with new kitchen and showers, nice spacious rooms. Linens/towels changed after a week. Views are to die for, especially from the conservatory, where we practically lived when home. Lovely welcome flowers, milk, wine and other treats, and quick responses when we needed them. Thank you for a great stay.

22 September 2018
Neil and Ann, London Creggan Veor is a beautiful, extremely well-appointed house in a perfect location a few hundred yards above the Cornish coastal path, with fine views over picturesque Cadgwith Cove. On our arrival we really appreciated the wine and traditional Cornish saffron buns our host had thoughtfully provided. As we perched on the rocky outcrop dividing Cadgwith Cove, the sight of dozens of gannets feeding half-a-mile offshore was unforgettable. We'll definitely return.

26 May 2018
Colin Sabine, Staffs How did we manage to get such a sunny week and such a wonderful house to stay in as Creggan Veor. Our fifth house at Cadgwith and the best we have stayed in so far.

10 March 2018
Peter Hart, Kent Another lovely stay at Creggan Veor - I never tire of staying there. I liked the new en-suite bathroom upstairs too. A very restful visit including a trip to the beautiful Godolphin Manor - well worth it just for that.

08 July 2023
We had a wonderful week at Creggan Veor. The ‘welcome set’ with Cornish scones, clotted cream and jam was just wonderful, with milk and wine in the fridge. We liked that! The terrace and the view are unique and make you never want to leave again. The house was perfect for our family of 4 – the kitchen and the bathrooms all very modern and user-friendly. We also liked the art work on the walls which connected so well with the local spirit. Again, it was a wonderful week and we want to thank you and everyone at Creggan Veor for making it that way.

27 May 2023
This place is AWESOME! Probably the nicest rental we have ever had. Even better than the pictures. Views are fabulous, furnishings are tasteful and comfortable. Bathrooms are quite lovely, particularly the main bathroom upstairs which has a beautiful large shower. The exterior surroundings are lovely too, with a very pretty garden area. A nice bottle of wine, tea, coffee, jam and scones were left for us on arrival, which was a very nice touch. The house is in a very private and peaceful location and not far from a terrific pub with great food. The village of Cadgwith is a real undiscovered gem of a fishing village, right out of a storybook. We would definitely come back if we visit Cornwall again. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

A truly special place to stay.

We had a really welcome, pleasant stay in a very comfortable property in a fabulous location. The property is clean, fully equipped and very spacious, with plenty of comfy sofas. The conservatory, equipped with sofas and a dining table, had a fantastic view, overlooking Cadgwith and the sea, which we took full advantage of. The area is pleasant, with plenty of farm shops dotted about. Debbie, of Cadgwith Cove Cottages, was most helpful. A very enjoyable, relaxing week.

Despite the storms at the end of the week we had a very relaxing time and found the house welcoming and snug. It was spotless on arrival, so many thanks to the cleaner who prepared the place prior to our arrival. We liked Falmouth a lot and the beautiful Kennack Sands. Just sitting in the conservatory watching the huge waves down in the cove and listening to the wind was enough.

Rolf Schilling, Germany We very much enjoyed our stay in Cornwall. Creggan Veor is a particularly beautiful and comfortable house, with a great view over Cadgwith Cove. We also appreciated the quietness and the countryside. We liked the small village of Cadgwith and the Cadgwith Cove Inn so much. We also liked the Cadgwith Fish Seller, where we bought excellent fish and scallops. I am sure that one day we will return to this place.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dummer’s Loft, with that wonderful view through the French doors and the waves pounding the rocks. The walks both ways out of Cadgwith were amazing. The pub meals at the cove were very good and great value. The log burner kept us cosy on the cooler evenings. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen really well equipped. We love Cadgwith and will return again soon.

What a gorgeous cottage - we absolutely loved it! We have stayed in most of the cottages in Cadgwith and this is our fave!! Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome. We have already tried to book for summer, but fully booked. We will be back by the end of the year. Such a special place, making memories...we all loved it.

Another wonderful stay in this special cottage. Lucky with the weather - only one rainy day, which was spent nice and cosy in front of the roaring log burner. Perfect! Hope to return again soon.

Another wonderful week's holiday at Dummer's. Great for the family to get together. Our friends were also staying in Cadgwith. Great fun with the kayak, paddleboards, snorkelling and fishing gear. Lovely coastal walks. Our black lab puppy loved it - she's been on the patio waiting for any passers-by! Thank you!

Another great week in Cadgwith. The cottage looks great with the new kitchen and bathroom - so comfortable, a great base for a holiday. The inn was fantastic fun for both food and entertainment - don't miss the Monday night quiz. Walking to Church Cove and Kennack is a must, and the lifeboat launch on a Tuesday is a highlight. Hope we'll be back again soon.

One word - idyllic! A fantastic week for much deserved R&R for family. We only left the cove for one day. Pub food excellent, locals friendly and helpful. Four seasons in one day but still in the sea every day. Cottage by far the best equipped we've been to.

22 February 2019
We loved Dummer's Loft. It was very comfortable and tastefully decorated and the kitchen was extremely well equipped, with nice sharp knives, a good selection of cookware and utensils and even a few dishwasher tabs etc - little, inexpensive touches, but much appreciated, as were the coffee, tea bags and Cornish biscuits. The caretaker rang on our first night to check we were OK and had everything we needed - again a really nice and thoughtful customer gesture. The sound system was great and the woodburner pumped out a lot of heat, making the cottage very cosy in the evenings. The front door was a bit of an issue - it took a certain knack to get it locked - but apparently that is in hand. All in all a fantastic week. The weather was an absolute bonus and the cottage was in the perfect location to enjoy watching the waves and tide in the bay. We would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful time at Dummer's Loft. The cottage is very comfortable and well-equipped. The oven was great, but for someone used to an Aga took quite a lot of trial and error to master. We look forward to returning.

Dummer’s Loft is a charming, well-equipped property in a spectacular location. It looks out directly over the sea in the working fishing village of Cadgwith Cove. There are breathtaking cliff top walks in each direction following the South West coastal path. Double doors lead to a patio where you can eat, read, sunbathe and watch the world go by. You are assured of a wonderful, memorable holiday. To be highly recommended.

This was our first stay at Dummer's Loft but certainly won't be our last. We couldn't have wished for a better location. To be able to leave all the windows and doors open to hear the sounds of the sea and the working boats was truly magical. And 58 steps to the pub was a major bonus!! Just loved the cosy feeling and practicality of the living area and were really impressed by the quality and cleanliness of the whole place. Comfiest bed in Cornwall. We would highly recommend a visit.

12 July 2019
Our second visit to Cadgwith/Dummer's Loft and loved it just as much as the first. The new kitchen is really great and the weather has been amazing - water really calm so paddleboards were out every day. Great walk from Lizard to Kynance spotting seals along the way. A happy week spent sitting on the terrace enjoying the daily activity on the beach. We look forward to coming back.
Coombes family, Bristol

01 July 2019
We've stayed at Dummer's Loft 3 or 4 times now and love it. It's all about 'location, location, location' - beautiful village, right on the beach. So cosy with the log burner - rain or shine it doesn't matter. A new wonderfully equipped kitchen, fantastic new bed and bedroom with views out to sea, and within staggering distance of the brilliant Cadgwith Cove Inn - what more could you ask for! We've also bought a number of paintings from Nigel Legge, a local fisherman and artist who has a small gallery on The Todden.

Another Easter week spent at Dummer's. We brought friends with us this time so 12 of us in all in Cadgwith. The weather threw everything at us - we've been blown by the wind, soaked by the rain and burnt by the sun! A glorious day walking to Kynance Cove and back. PS - really love the new shower room and kitchen.

Thank you for our stay at Dummer's Loft. We had an absolutely lovely time and wish that we never had to leave! We were lucky with the weather - blue skies most days, lovely walks with the dog, sea shanties in the pub. Heading back home feeling very relaxed and lots of happy memories.

We had the most amazing time at Dummer's Loft. Idyllic spot. Everything was perfect - from the house to the sea view. Sea shanties at the local pub was a lovely experience and we so enjoyed the long coastal walks. Dummer's Loft has been beautifully restored and decorated to the highest spec. We highly recommend it!

A superb stay at a truly lovely location! The house was perfect and had everything we could have wished for. Having 2 bathrooms is a great addition to the property, and under-floor heating an added bonus. We used the log burner on a couple of occasions when the temperature dropped in the evening and the loft was very cosy. Thank you for making our stay such a memorable one.

Fantastic coastal walks. Stunning beaches and NT gardens. 15 July 2022
We had a great time, as usual. We’ve been visiting Cadgwith now for 18 years and we don’t like to miss our annual trip down South. We chose Hazel Tree House for the garden, parking and accommodation and they were all perfect for us. We know the area well and the location being a little further away from the cove is no concern to us. The only comments to make was that there was building work going on nearby which made the first coffee of the day in the garden a bit noisy at times. And the other minor suggestion would be to put a mirror in two of the bedrooms. We loved all the artwork on the walls and it was good to have a decent sized fridge/freezer. We were also fortunate to have fantastic weather and to witness the ‘super moon’ over the cove – it was magical!

This is the second time we have stayed here. Ivywell is a lovely place to stay with a family, or families and we once again enjoyed our stay. It is such a peaceful and relaxing setting right in the heart of the Lizard. The owners have described it as a “happy, happy house” and it certainly feels that way. We are glad to be able to share this wonderful place, even for just a short time.

Smith and Sampson families, Cardiff and Canterbury Despite typical British weather we had a lovely time. The house was spacious so we were able to spread out on rainy days, when sitting in the conservatory was a favourite thing to do. Went for lots of walks around the Lizard - Kennack Sands is a favourite beach and the far beach is perfect for dogs. Some of us also went coasteering, on fishing trips, to Flambards and the Seal Sanctuary, and to Poldhu. Missed Kynance, so hope to come back next year. A lovely family holiday.

We loved Ivywell and found it generally spotlessly clean with everything to hand that we could need for a week away. Thank you for your flexibility during the storm enabling us to arrive early. Other than a couple of frying pans that had been left in the cupboard unwashed, it was a perfect holiday house with beautiful gardens which had been carefully cleaned and prepared. We hope to visit again.

Morris family, Surrey and Alberta, Canada We were absolutely delighted with the house on arrival. Everyone enjoyed the space and the number of common rooms, and particularly a large table to play board games etc. We have enjoyed kayaking from Cadgwith Cove - exploring the sea caves and seeing the seals - a lovely walk at Kynance and a tasty visit to Roskilly's for wood-fired pizza and ice-cream. We have stayed in a few places of this size and this is far and away the nicest house of its kind that we have stayed in as a group. Thank you.

14 April 2017
The Higginson clan, Bristol, Norfolk and Ipswich Fantastic house and location. Beautiful walks with our dogs. Village shop very well stocked. Pasties from Leggy's excellent. Fabulous stay - thank you very much.

Mrs McBride, Bristol We really enjoyed our time in Ivywell and would definitely return. Great garden, lovely big table for family meals in the kitchen and the table tennis table was excellent fun. The décor and furniture was comfortable, if rather dated - a more modern 'makeover' would be my preference.

We had a great time at Jimmer’s Loft and were so very lucky with the weather. We did lots of walking, including two days from the front door and one day by using the bus. It was really nice not to have to drive a lot of the time. We may well be back at some point.

25 June 2021
Great place to stay for a car-free swimming and walking holiday. The hose outside and the facilities for wet gear were really useful. The village has hardly changed since my childhood holidays here in the 1960s. We took the bus to Poldhu Cove – smashing café stop before a glorious coastal walk ‘home’. Kennack Sands another walk/swim/café recommendation.

Our first stay away post lockdown – what a wonderful place to stay, unwind and relax. Fab location, very clean and comfortable apartment. A great base for the South West Coast Path and for visiting the local area. The Cadgwith pub was not open, but we visited The Old Cellars café for a cream tea (yum). And if you fancy takeaway the Thai Jumunjy will deliver to the door. We did have a few problems with parking – a small oversight in what has been a wonderful break. Thanks for a great stay.

A great place for a winter break. It has everything we wanted – scenery, sea, sand, and now a storm on its way. The fishing boats remain wisely ashore while we clamber to the cliff top to take in the power of the waves! Jimmer’s Loft is a fantastic place – we will be back.
Mike and Pat, Derbyshire

31 May 2019
What a great little place. Perfectly situated – pub, ice cream, crabs, lovely views and a good base to explore the coastline. We went to the Seal Sanctuary, Mullion Cove and Coverack – still so much to see so will be back another time. Enjoyed it immensely.
Mark, Simonetta and Adam, Epsom, Surrey

24 March 2019
We had a lovely time at Jimmer's Loft. The accommodation was warm, clean, with a very nice well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed. It was lovely to find a bottle of red wine on arrival. We had a good night in the Cadgwith Cove Inn, with some tasty fish and chips, listening to the Cadgwith Singers, and a nice cream tea at the Old Cellars just around the corner. We have been to the Lizard area a few times now and this was a lovely base for our usual trips out. I would recommend the property (just be aware that it can be tight getting in and out of the passageway leading to the parking space with a large car) and would use Cadgwith Cove Cottages again.

What a view. We have loved staying at the loft. Lots of local walks and a must is the Seal Sanctuary. Thank you.
Liz and Steve, Devon

27 July 2018
We have enjoyed a fantastic holiday in Cadgwith. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable, with a homely feel. We enjoyed a number of local walks, and an amazing trip to the Minack Theatre. Also visited the Seal Sanctuary, Roskilly's Farm (best ice-cream and a really enjoyable courtyard) and Coverack harbour. The Cadgwith inn is good, but the best meal out was Coast at Lizard Point. We would love to come back at some stage in the future.

The end of 8 amazing days here in Cadgwith and for the first time since being a child I have cried this morning because we have to leave! Jimmer's has been a brilliant base and home for our holiday - so well-equipped and comfortable. Top tips for places to visit: the Seal Sanctuary, Kynance Cove, Kennack Sands, Poldhu Beach, Helford and Porthleven (lifeboat launch at 6.30pm on Tuesdays). And we've enjoyed a number of meals at the Cadgwith Cove Inn.

Catherine Wray, Lincolnshire We had a wonderful holiday at Jimmer's Loft. The accommodation was superb - neat and tidy. The kitchen was modern and perfect for us to cook the delicious fresh fish bought from the shop just down the alley. The piece de resistance was the view - just beautiful - we loved watching all the activities in the bay, the big ships going past as well as the sailing boats. Thanks to Richard and Elizabeth for giving us this first time opportunity to visit Cadgwith Cove. We will be back next year.

The Corneys, London Lovely house, with amazing views and lots of space. We had everything we needed, including table football for the kids, and would definitely come again. We loved our stay in Cadgwith - the village is very charming and we enjoyed some amazing food and entertainment at the Cadgwith Cove Inn. Stunning coast path walks to Lizard, Kennack Sands.... we didn't want to go home.

24 September 2021
We have had a wonderful week – great flat and great location! Recommend Kynance Cove at low tide, Porthleven’s mussel shoal and the Ship Inn, surfing at Gwithian beach, snorkelling and swimming at Cadgwith and having your own sunset dinner on the beach watching the fishing boats and the amazing view.

We’ve had the perfect escape from the business of day to day life. Such a peaceful spot and so unspoiled by tourism. We’ve swum in the sea, walked along coastal paths, surfed at Sennen and eaten ice-cream every day (holiday rule!) Highlights – swimming at Kynance Cove and lunch at the café at the cove, walks to Lizard Point and Kennack Sands and too many more to list. Thank you!

19 April 2019
We had a wonderful week at Jimmer’s Loft with our two boys (aged 9 and 6). The house had everything we could possibly need. The cliff walk to Lizard Point and round to Kynance Cove is beautiful – you can cut back across via Lizard village. We also visited the Ships and Castles swimming pool, and Pendennis Castle, in Falmouth – both great for families, as is Flambards amusement park, which was a great hit. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are beautiful, and we also discovered a pub called The May Tree in Helston which was excellent value, good food and service and very family friendly. All in all a fantastic week – thank you.

17 August 2018
A lovely stay at Jimmer's Loft. All was very comfortable and the caretaker was very helpful with any extra queries. One suggestion: Lizard Adventure offers lessons in surfing, kayaking and survival skills. The sea kayaking leaves from right next to the cottage and is brilliant - great fun for the family and extra needs are not a problem. The baker at St Ruan is great too - bakes to order and also has a stand outside his house. We will return.

13 October 2017
Brenda Henderson, Bromsgrove We had the very best week's break at Jimmer's Loft. We stayed in Cadgwith to celebrate my birthday and it could not have been a better place. Jimmer's Loft had everything we could possibly want - very well equipped and more than enough of everything needed in the kitchen etc for five adults (not always the case in holiday lets!) Being right in the heart of Cadgwith was a real delight and we made full use of the Cadgwith Inn! One of the highlights was the sea shanties on Friday evening - the other was failing to win the quiz night, though we had huge fun! We will definitely be back.

08 September 2017
Colin Sabine, Staffs The cottage was wonderful. The fact we could park the car outside was a bonus. Operating instructions for the TV would be useful, as we found it difficult to get sorted.

23 May 2017
Hilary, Emma and Tom, Essex Thank you for an amazing stay in this lovely flat. We had more than enough space and plenty of toys for Tom. We really appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, where we prepared our sea-inspired meals. A stunning place.

REVIEWS FOR LITTLE BARN

04 August 2023
This bijou cottage – small but perfectly formed – is in a great location, near Cadgwith and Ruan Minor and close to an artisan bakery and dairy/farm shop. The owners had thought of everything and we particularly liked the Cornishware and the comfy bed, as well as being able to buy their freshly picked garden produce. The weather was not very good but there were still so many things we could do – visiting local gardens and beaches, as well as Penlee House and the Morrab library in Penzance, sailing in Falmouth, taking the ferry from Falmouth to St Mawes, to name but a few. We hope to return.

18 August 2017
Alison Richardson, Surrey A lovely cosy cottage. I particularly liked the proximity to the cove - a 10-minute walk, if that, and ideal for the morning dog walk. Handy having the owners on site, and a handy little shop in the village - ideal to call in and pick up a freshly baked croissant on the morning dog walk. The cottage is very quiet and extremely well equipped, with a lovely enclosed courtyard garden. I would recommend to others.

29 July 2016
Caroline and David, Wantage, Oxfordshire Lovely cottage, lovely local bread, fish, dairy and pubs! Lovely!

15 April 2022
Little Barn was amazing, such a lovely place. Paul and Pam are the best hosts! I was so surprised to find a stunning Victoria sponge in the fridge for us when we arrived which was nice as it was my birthday on the Sunday so was a nice treat! My partner and I both had a fantastic time and enjoyed staying at Little Barn - just a shame we had to leave at all. But I am fairly confident that we will stay with Cadgwith Cove Cottages again in the future as you have some lovely properties in my favourite location. Thanks again for a lovely stay and huge thanks to Paul and Pam for being such lovely hosts!

Jenny Keen, Devon An idyllic four days in this lovely little cottage. Very stylish with very good quality fixtures and fittings. Duck down duvet over a very comfortable double bed dressed in quality bed linen. Very comfortable armchairs and fully fitted kitchen with everything needed. The shower room is big and modern with double sized shower cubicle. The patio garden outside the double french doors catches the sun and is fully dog proof. The owners, Pam and Paul, were very friendly and helpful, but didn't intrude at all. Pam had left a delicious victoria sandwich cake in the fridge, which was most welcome. Loved every minute of our stay and we're hoping to return in May to enjoy the wild flowers on the walk down the footpath into the village.

Mr and Mrs Pearson, Worcestershire A lovely week at Little Barn. The cottage has everything you need. We particularly liked being able to take our dog and the fact that the little garden area was completely dog proof and also very private. We even had marvellous weather!

REVIEWS FOR LITTLE TODDEN

25 March 2024
Lovely little cottage in an idyllic little fishing village. Very peaceful with the windows open listening to the waves lap on the shore. The cottage is kept nice and warm with underfloor heating, which our dog loved! The situation along the South West coastal path is perfect for walking or just relaxing next to the sea.

We had a wonderful time in Little Todden cottage. So cosy and welcoming and everything ‘5 star’. Perfect! We’ll be back for sure.

It is sooo amazing here. We were so lucky to have great weather – could have just sat outside all day. Everything in the cottage is high quality. It makes you feel you are somewhere luxurious. Thank you for all the special touches – flowers, cream tea, wine. It has been so relaxing. We will definitely return.

22 July 2022
We spent two gorgeous weeks in beautiful Little Todden. Weather was brilliant, did lovely walks to Poldhu Cove, around Helford and Trebah Gardens. Enjoyed a lot of delicious cream teas and brownies. Enjoyed relaxing afternoons on the terrace watching the sea and the swimmers in the cove (tough!). Hope to return.

We really enjoyed our week in your little cottage. It has been so beautifully renovated and of course the views are second to none. Thank you for the cream tea and wine. A wonderful week.

We had the most amazing stay at Little Todden. The cottage is beautifully furnished and it was really lovely to arrive to find the fire and the lights on, with a cream tea and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The welcome card was a lovely touch also. Cadgwith has always held a special place in our hearts and it was lovely to feel like we lived there for a few days – a joy to be in the cove of a morning to see the fishermen leave and then return later with their catch.
J Docking, Cornwall

Return visit five years on: hard to improve on ‘perfect’ but with the refurb, it certainly has! A wonderfully restful and tranquil place to stay, lulled by the waves and the cries of the gulls. Thank you.
Ruth and Andy, Dorset

02 January 2021
We had the most amazing week and Little Todden is just beautiful. The walk from Cadgwith to Lizard Point is also spectacular. Thank you for letting us enjoy your lovely cottage. We are sad to leave and definitely want to come back. (And thank you for the dog treats - very thoughtful of you).

You have taken Little Todden to another level with the refurbishments. Super. Have had another lovely, relaxing visit and already looking forward to coming back next spring. Malc always enjoys a bit of fishing - only garfish this year though!

25 October 2019
Yet another wonderful stay in Little Todden. We have been so lucky with the weather - so mild and sunny. Watched the sparrows in their bath and feeding on the seeds, plus dear little robin. Looking forward to seeing the alterations with interest - they sound lovely, giving more space and storage. This little cottage goes on giving her cosy comfort. Thank you so much for the flowers, wine and milk. PS - love the new fence, such a view!!

Our 6th time in Cadgwith - fantastic spot. Managed to do some fishing, both from the rocks and a small boat. Fresh mackerel for breakfast. Will be back next year.

We spent a lot of brilliant holidays in the UK, but this was top of it all! Breakfast with a view, a beautiful, absolutely well-equipped cottage. Best walk was to Kynance Cove - weather great, dogs exhausted. We hope to come back!

Angie and Peter, Berkshire Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely, quaint, cosy cottage with fantastic sea views. Didn't want to go anywhere else. Hope to return next year for a longer stay.

Dean and Christine, Oxfordshire Our third stay at Little Todden - our first holiday together in 1991, our honeymoon in 1993 and now our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Such a magical place! Fantastic weather, great walks and fab food at the pub.

16 December 2017
Mick Hyde, Rochdale Our stay at Little Todden was fantastic. Lovely warm cottage, easy to control heating system using the latest tech. Amazing how much could be fitted in to a small place. Good quality contents and definitely the best equipped kitchen that I have seen in any rental property. Everyone in the local pub was very friendly as well, and we had a good laugh at the quiz night.

30 June 2017
Theresa and Peter Gunter, Switzerland Another very happy stay at Little Todden. Thanks to the beautiful weather in the first two weeks we were outside walking and visiting places or relaxing 'at home' all day, which did us a world of good. The cottage was clean and we found everything we needed. We especially appreciate the change of linen and towels every week. The only slight drawback is the mattress - for a longer stay we would appreciate a 'proper' mattress which keeps its form a bit better. We love Cadgwith and Little Todden and would like to return if at all possible!

01 March 2023
A very special place. Thanks for sharing it. My parents stayed in ‘Highland Fling’ – the wooden shed sited where Little Todden was built in 1963. 60 years later, the view my Mum painted has not changed. The magic remains.
Paul and Nell, Bristol

07 October 2022
Our third stay in Cadgwith but first at Little Todden. We knew the views were wonderful and the cottage beautiful outside, but were very impressed with the imaginative and well designed inside. Loved the starry ceiling and soon got used to the modern kitchen and the stairs. Hope we can stay again.
Richard and Paula, Waltham Cross, Herts

20 May 2022
Dear Jane and Will! Thank you very much for letting us stay a week in your fantastic Little Todden. Thank you very much for your lovely presents. We saw this little house years ago while on a trip around Cornwall. This visit was a birthday present for Klaudia – a fantastic present. We will come back.
Klaudia and Ulrich, Germany

28 December 2021
My partner’s childhood memories brought us to Cadgwith for our first (hopefully not last) stay in Little Todden. We absolutely loved it – a perfect little cottage full of luxury (love the bedroom star lights!) Spent hours stood at the door just watching the sea. We also enjoyed the coastal path to Poltesco – the little cove was so deserted it felt like our private beach.
Jay and Gerard, Chippenham, Wiltshire

22 October 2021
A gem of a cottage in one of the best places in Cornwall. The improvements made by the new owners have made Little Todden perfect. The wine and cream tea are a nice touch. We will be back as soon as possible.

Fantastic cosy cottage. Loved watching the fishermen set out and come back. SW coast path at its best in spring and spotted some choughs – a bonus!

31 October 2020
The cottage and the view took our breath away. Wonderful welcome, with flowers, wine and milk. Absolutely magical. The big storm on the Wednesday was spectacular, with huge crashing waves. Amazing clifftop walks. Really sad to leave...back soon.

09 October 2020
What a brilliant redesign/refurb of this unique property. Having been regular visitors for 5 years we didn't think it could get any better, but it has. What the owners have achieved is remarkable: it seems bigger, the decoration is stunning, the window upstairs is a masterpiece, and the kitchen is really well equipped. Despite our arrival on the wettest day on record we loved the luxurious and cosiness of it all. Fantastic, and already looking forward to our booking next year.
John and Julie, Shropshire

14 August 2020
Our stay at Little Todden was amazing. The cottage is beautifully furnished and equipped and perfect for the two of us. Its location couldn't be better, situated as it is right on the Todden. The little garden at the front of the house with its views across the sea and down to the fishing boats below was a real joy. I had stayed at Cadgwith many years ago when my children were small, so it was lovely to be there again with my now grown-up daughter and grandchildren (who were staying in a cottage nearby) and to find that it was just as unspoilt and beautiful as it was then. I would be happy to recommend it to anyone as a perfect place to relax and unwind. I'm sure we will see you again.
Mrs S Wood, Chipping Norton

18 October 2019
We got home a week ago and I don't think I've missed a place like Little Todden. It's not only a beautiful setting, but also the cottage is well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had a fantastic time and even the weather shined on us. We will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your special place in Cornwall!
Suzie and Terry, Greenhithe. Kent

19 July 2019
Fantastic stay! Weather superb. Breakfast outside every day. View so beautiful I didn't move all week. Loved the house, and the flowers, wine and milk. Thank you.

24 May 2019
Well...what can we say! It is 5 years since we stayed here and it is as good, no, better than ever. Everything so thoughtfully provided. We were celebrating 50 years visiting Cadgwith together - but then on our Royal Enfield 250 gt continental - and numerous times since then. Thank you to Will and Jane [the owners].
Rob and Jan, Flax Bourton, Bristol

14 September 2018
Kelly and Alastair, The Lake District We have been to Cadgwith many times but our first time at Little Todden. A perfect little quirky cottage - very handy for fishing (we caught mackerel, bass, pollock and a big ballan wrasse). The robin visited every day. We can't wait to return. One week was not long enough!

15 June 2018
Stella and Alan, Sheffield Gorgeous cottage. Amazing weather. Loads to do. Absolutely love Cadgwith and first time staying in this place. 100% would stay again.

15 September 2017
Pam and Alan Barnes, Glos Wonderful location. Cottage full of character in a working fishing village. Excellent location for exploring the Lizard peninsula and coastal path. Spiral staircase a bit tricky for people of a certain age (like us!) We really enjoyed our stay.

Howell family, Sidmouth, Devon

25 September 2020
We very much enjoyed our stay at Long Loft. The house is well equipped and cosy, and Elliot had made it very homely with fresh flowers and scones with jam and cream. We loved the balcony, which is just super to sit and watch the ocean and the comings and goings in the bay. We were fortunate to have mostly good weather and enjoyed great cliff walks and visits to nearby coves including Kynance Cove and Nanjizel beach, amongst others. It was a long trip to make from North Buckinghamshire but well worth it. We hope to visit again some day.
Kay L, Adstock, Buckinghamshire

14 October 2018
Long Loft sits directly above Little Beach in Cadgwith and enjoys unrivalled views across the whole cove. The views from the two main bedrooms and terraces are breathtaking. The website photos do not do the location justice. We were two couples and the arrangement of the double bedrooms at each end of the house ensures privacy. We had a great stay, enjoying both beautiful sunny days and storm-watching during a two-day storm with winds gusting to 70mph and crashing waves below the east-facing terrace. The coast path runs right behind the property and we walked along the path to Poltesco and Carleon Cove in the east and Lizard Point in the west. Long Loft is well-equipped and warm, with outdoor terraces providing great locations for relaxing. Our one criticism...a downstairs loo would have been very welcome!
Peter Emms, Cornwall

02 September 2018
Mary-Anne Edwards, Dorset Long Loft is a very special property and so well managed. Its location and renovation is perfect. The kids and husband loved popping down to the rocks every night to fish for their supper. Elliot (the caretaker) was really thoughtful. The only disappointment was coming home!

10 August 2018
The Pextons, Kent Had the most amazing week, and beautiful weather, for our wedding. We love Cadgwith and now are very much in love with Long Loft. It will be a special place to us - the house, the views, the courtyard, everything was spot on and the little extra bits, such as flowers and food hampers, were very much appreciated. Long Loft...we will see you next year. Thank you for a luxurious setting. It was a magical week all round, including the weather! The added touches around the house were a good extra. Magical! See you next year.

30 June 2017
Tina and Steve, stayed 10 - 15 June 2017 Victoria, thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful home. The style, space and serenity of Long Loft will stay with us for a long time. P.S. Tina Turner must have been thinking of Long Loft when she sang "Simply the best, better than all the rest".

02 June 2017
Peter Davies, Leicester In 50 years of visiting Cadgwith, Long Loft has been the best house ever for our holiday. It has been beautiful, spectacular inside and out. Victoria has been a wonderful hostess. Looking forward to coming back soon.

We had a fabulous week at Long Loft and wanted to thank you for a very special stay. The house was more lovely than we could have imagined, the weather was kind, the walks and scenery spectacular and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I am sure we will be back.

16 October 2020
What an amazing situation Long Loft has – right on the edge of the land with views across the sea. Spectacular sunrises and a couple of days of rough seas which made it very exciting to be so close. Elliot looked after us very well – he gave us a really warm welcome and was very helpful throughout our stay. Everything we needed was there. Thank you again for a wonderful experience. We love the sea and it doesn’t get much closer than Long Loft. The Cadgwith Cove Inn did us proud for my birthday while we were there. Marvellous! Thank you for all your communications, care and attention – we are ever grateful.
Jan Browning, Bexhill-on-Sea

27 April 2019
We were all absolutely enchanted with our stay at Long Loft. The village, the site of the house and the house itself are all spectacular. The house was spotlessly clean on arrival, well appointed with bed linen and towels, and the welcome basket of local food was much appreciated. We have not had enough positive things to say about our time in Cadgwith. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer! If we were pressed to find a minor negative point, the kitchen could do with a few more pans [note: these have now been supplied by the owners]. Thank you very much for an excellent holiday. We have every intention of returning.
J Magidoff, Paris, France

14 September 2018
Kay, David and Milly, Bucks Loved our time at Long Loft - such a beautiful place and loved sunbathing out on the balcony! The views are amazing. We loved listening to the Cadgwith Singers on Friday night down the pub. Highlights were: Sennen Cove and beach, Kynance Cove, Helford River beach day, eating at Wavecrest café at the Most Southerly Point while the sun went down, and the most amazing sea bass from the lovely man in the village who sells fresh fish every day. Thank you!

17 August 2018
'The Mrs Ross Poldark group' The enchantments of Cadgwith had us all bewitched. The sounds of the sea and the air lulled us into relaxing, and the plentiful walks kept the more energetic enlivened. Cadgwith and Long Loft truly do awaken the senses and soothe the soul. The Mrs Ross Poldark group will be sure to return.

07 July 2017
The Annis family, Gloucestershire We loved Long Loft. The most beautiful holiday cottage we have stayed in. Amazing location, comfy beds. Views exceptional. Victoria completely lovely.

16 June 2017
Mr Sinclair, Devon EXCEPTIONAL. It would be easy to get carried away; the location of Long Loft is unrivalled, the interior styling and sense of space are beautiful and the overall feeling of peace and tranquillity just wonderful.

The location was perfect for my sisters and I, with easy access to the beach and stunning walks all round. Not enough superlatives to describe our wonderful holiday at Mordros. Our second visit, but hopefully not our last. One special mention when it comes to eating out - the Fat Apples café and their crab sandwiches extraordinaire.
Caroline and Neil, Wiltshire

23 September 2016
Keith and Anita Wood Excellent accommodation - well furnished and equipped and spotlessly clean. This has been a good base over the past 2 weeks for exploring western Cornwall. Lovely hosts, who have all made us very welcome. Recommend 'Coast' restaurant at the Lizard and 'Fat Apples' café on the way to Porthallow.

29 July 2016
Jo, Richard, Harry and Joseph, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex This was our first visit to Mordros Cottage in this magical little place. The cottage and its surroundings surpassed all our expectations - it is a very special place. The cottage has been a comfortable, cosy and clean little hideaway, with everything we could have asked for. We've had a wonderful week. We've explored, from Roskilly's ice cream close by to the Minack Theatre, as well as finding wonderful coves and spotting seals from Lizard Point. Thank you for being great hosts and for creating this little magic hideaway.

11 March 2022
We were very impressed with Mordros Cottage overall and would definitely stay there again. A special mention to the owners, who put up with us changing dates several times – they were fantastic. A great time, great place and great owners. Thank you all.
John and Anne, Southampton

09 November 2018
Our first time at Mordros Cottage - what a beautiful cottage. Our stay has been wonderful. Thank you to the Richards family - so welcoming and kind, everything has been perfect. It has been good to see the rough seas, and the walking we have done. Food good as always. Would love to come back next year.
Antony and Karen, Wiltshire

27 July 2018
Susanna and Keith, Leicestershire We really loved our stay at Mordros. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed meeting the dogs. The site is lovely and it's nice to have some neighbours to chat with from the other holiday cottages. The cottage itself was really comfortable and they had really thought about what was needed in terms of kitchen equipment and layout too. We also liked the use of the outside area for drying clothes and for sitting in the shade in the incredibly hot weather. The best part had to be the short walk to our own 'private' beach where we saw a grand total of about 10 people in all the times we visited, and one friendly seal too. We had a great holiday.

31 May 2018
Such a welcoming stay at Mordros Cottage - a lovely 'get away from it all'. We all enjoyed the peace and quiet and the lovely sea view. The children particularly enjoyed wading through the field to their own 'private' beach, as they called it! Wonderful climbing on the rocks and a little bit of rock pooling as well. Always lovely to come back to our cosy cottage at the end of the day, rain or shine. We have eaten lots of Roskilly's ice cream - a new flavour every day and also enjoyed Kennack Sands, lovely for swimming, the Seal Sanctuary and the idyllic Helford River. We would very much like to visit Chenhale Farm again.
Beth, Joshua and Isabelle, Dorchester, Dorset

11 August 2017
The Arrowsmith family, N Yorks We loved the location and the quietness of Mordros Cottage. We felt the kitchen equipment was very basic and a few more household/kitchen essentials would have been useful. We have used Cadgwith Cove Cottages before and look forward to our next visit.

07 October 2016
Carol and John, Sherborne, Dorset Our first visit to Mordros Cottage. We were very impressed with the bright and spacious living/sitting room and the lovely flowers on the table. A very relaxing week (with no phone reception, which was very welcome!) We'll certainly be back again.

12 August 2016
Suzanne, John, Gabbi and Sofia, Stratford-upon-Avon Our holiday got off to a flying start when we arrived at Mordros Cottage to a very warm welcome and flowers on the table. The cottage and location have been a gem of a find this year and we would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. The beach/sea view - and at the end of the footpath too - were a great bonus. We couldn't go without a BBQ on the beach one evening. Family times are special these days and we were blessed with good weather and leave having made more happy memories. We hope to return one day soon.

15 July 2016
Claire, KJ and family, Eastbourne Thank you for a wonderful stay. We really appreciated the location - being near to the sea and south west coastal path. Loved seeing the seals at the nearby coves and Roskilly's ice cream at 'Archie's Loft'. We also really appreciated the beautiful garden, with the exotic plants and flora front and back. We also liked the 'special touches' in the cottage and the scrupulously clean environment. The weather was good all week, apart from one day - all in all a memorable holiday for us this year.

28 August 2021
We had a great week – fab location and nice chalet, very comfy double bed and sofas. The twin is fine for children – perhaps a bit short for a grown-up! Jane explains clearly that it’s a small space and it’s a small oven, but for 3 of us it was fine and we were happy with everything.

24 July 2021
We had a lovely stay. The chalet was clean and cosy. Easy check-in and check-out, well-equipped kitchen. Good communication with the owner. Basket of scones with jam and cream was a really nice surprise (must say it was the first time we tried clotted cream and it was delicious!) I would definitely recommend staying at Jane’s place.

My husband, children and I very much enjoyed our week in Jane’s chalet. The location is fantastic and on a nice quiet site with plenty of space for children to run. It made a great base for days out and the beds were very comfortable at the end of a busy day. Great value for money stay. Also very clean on arrival, with fresh flowers and a cream tea too!

Perfect stay – could not be any better than this. A very peaceful hideaway chalet. Clean and comfortable. The location is absolutely perfect – 10 minutes’ drive to Lizard Point and Kynance Cove. Really appreciated the warm welcome from Jane with a tray of scones, jam and cream (nice touch). The introduction to coin-based electric meter was fun. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here.

Jane, Jeremy, Archie and Lizzy (and hounds!) Thank you for a fantastic break - perfect location; pub, beach and walks, stunning scenery. Pebbles cottage is lovely and homely - ideal for us all. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will recommend Pebbles and look forward to our return. Thank you for the wine and flowers.

19 November 2014
A wonderful cottage in a beautiful village. There is nothing contrived about this cottage - it's so comfortable and well equipped that it feels as if you are borrowing it from a friend rather than renting through strangers. The Cornish cream tea on arrival is a lovely touch. It's lovely to be woken up to the sound of the waves and seagulls, rather than the mobile phone ringing. The pub next door serves good beer, very good food and the staff and locals are always happy to point you in the direction of some good walks and sightseeing opportunities. Can't wait to come back again.

18 October 2014
Adrian, Annie and Louisa Fabulous week in your lovely cottage. Very cosy and warm, with lots of interesting features. Cream tea on arrival was a wonderful idea. Weather has been generally kind and absolutely love the cove and its people. Highly recommend Pebbles to others. Pub is also very good and only 10 seconds from the cottage via the gate!

09 July 2016
Owen, Urs, Luke, Jenny, Stratford on Avon Lovely week staying in very homely Pebbles. Weather changeable. Some great walks along the coastal paths. Kynance beach absolutely amazing. The flowers and scones on arrival are so lovely and just add even more to making our holiday so special. We have stayed in Cadgwith a few times now and just love it, but Pebbles has been our favourite cottage so far - so cosy, homely and clean and so near the pub and beach. We will return here.

Spent a very enjoyable week in Pebbles - a lovely fisherman's cottage in the heart of Cadgwith Cove. It offers the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. The cottage is well appointed, with a cosy lounge with woodburner, and lovely bedrooms with pristine bedding. With WiFi and Sky HD and the cove only one minute away, what more could you wish for. We will definitely be revisiting! Thanks to Fiona and Simon (the owners) for providing us with some great memories. We would strongly recommend Pebbles.

The Roe family Cadgwith is one of the most magical places we have been to. Love the cove, the locals and the eating establishments. We have all had a very relaxing time. In fact the kids wants to stay!!

Lovely place. Courtyard garden and adjacent parking on level ground a real bonus, with level access to beach and shops. First time cooking on ‘Aga’ – really easy, enjoyed it. Second bedroom would benefit from a blind on the skylight to give option of not being woken at 04.30 sunrise. Many thanks – really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic location - Cadgwith is amazing! Rose Cottage is a lovely place. Our only comment is the cottage gets very warm, especially the bedroom over the kitchen, but we coped OK. We are going home totally relaxed and can't wait until September to come back to this lovely cove. PS - Cadgwith Cove Cottages are great! PPS - go to the artisan baker - lovely bread and it goes well with the fresh crab.

Our ninth Christmas in Cadgwith - first time staying at Rose Cottage. Beautiful cottage with everything you need. Will recommend to friends and family, and we will, of course, come back to Cadgwith. (Did initially have a problem with the TV but worked it out eventually).

We have visited Cadgwith every October for the last few years but our first stay in Rose Cottage. Lovely warm cosy cottage, well-equipped and fantastic location. Warm, friendly locals make the stay worthwhile. We will be back again to Rose Cottage without a doubt. Love the pub - lovely staff, great food and always look forward to folk night and quiz night. Thank you for a memorable stay.

A beautiful week - very warm and very sunny. Thank you for the scones! New sofas much more comfortable than the old ones. TV difficult as usual - we have written instructions for operation in the Visitors Book. Lovely visit to Bonython Estate Gardens, and good meals at the Black Swan in Gweek and the Halzephron Inn at Gunwalloe. Much enjoyed our stay.

Mr and Mrs Payton, Plymouth Beautiful cottage. We all had a lovely stay and hope to come back in the future. Cadgwith has hardly changed since we last came 35 years ago. We did find the main bedroom very hot in warm weather but overall we had a wonderful stay.

A dreamy week of just mooching around The Lizard. Breakfast at the Fat Apples café near Porthallow; swimming at Church Cove near Lizard village; fresh turbot, hake, crab and lobster from the local fish seller. Rose Cottage is ace! Big bath, a bit too warm at times, but we didn't mind. Enjoy....

Rose Cottage is a comfortable, charming house, and a very pleasant place to be. We've tried most others in Cadgwith, but will return to Rose. Very good exhibition at Penlee Gallery, Penzance, and excellent cream tea at Treleague Farm, Ruan Minor, with well-stocked deli-type shop.

M Hughes, Cardiff We have been to Cornwall many times but this was our first trip to the Lizard peninsula. Cadgwith is a beautiful and peaceful Cornish fishing village with an excellent pub. Rose Cottage is cosy and had everything we could want. A lovely old Cornish cottage, ideal for us and our four-legged friend. We had a lovely week.

28 December 2017
Matt Payne, Devon Had a great time at Rose over Christmas - the cottage is really warm and cosy. Two points: the remote for the TV/DVD is very complicated, and the sofas are very uncomfortable. [Note from the owner - new sofas and a new TV are being installed - Jan 2018.]

05 August 2017

Our week in Cornwall with our son and his girlfriend, over from New Zealand - a taster of what Cornwall has to offer - did not disappoint. Seawatch is a beautiful cottage and so well equipped. Will aim to return. Well done, Cadgwith Cove Cottages!

13 May 2016
Mr Duckworth, Lancashire The cottage and Cadgwith were fantastic. We loved the view, the airiness of the cottage, the large garden and the finish of the living room. Just one suggestion - with only one bathroom on the lower level it would be worthwhile putting an ensuite into one of the other bedrooms for ease of access when upstairs.

25 September 2015
Mr N Hunt, Somerset We loved everything about Seawatch, and in particular the fact that it did not appear as a holiday home. One suggestion - could do with softer cushions on the 2-seater settee. Can we also add that we have never dealt with such a helpful and friendly holiday company - thank you.

22 October 2021
Another lovely week at Seawatch (our third visit). Highlights were taking our grandson up the Lizard lighthouse and exploring the caves at Kynance. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. We’ll be back.

10 September 2021
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and loved the cottage. Being able to see the sea from the house and garden was lovely. We especially liked the pictures on the walls and found it very comfortable and well equipped. It was also a good location for the cliff walks that we enjoy, and being able to park in the car park was very helpful and easy. We have stayed in a number of your cottages and each one in different ways has been very special, with each one having an individual style. No doubt we will book with you again. It is so nice to be able to pick up the phone and talk to a helpful person rather than deal with a computer. Many thanks.

05 October 2018
A lovely week at Seawatch. I really liked the cottage and the garden, and especially the lovely view down to the sea. The art work in the house was thoughtfully presented and enhanced the character and atmosphere of the place. I was surprised to find that the fire was the only form of heating in the living room, which could perhaps be an issue out of season for anyone finding it difficult to get coal and logs to the cottage. Using the fire added a great deal of enjoyment to my holiday. I felt very much at home at Seawatch and would like to return some time.
Jo Jeavons, North Yorkshire

15 September 2017
Mrs Jones, Hampshire Seawatch is a lovely cottage - everything you need for your holiday to go smoothly. The views are perfect. Have been coming to Cadgwith for so long it is like a home from home, and Seawatch made it even more so. Thank you.

08 April 2016
Mr Hunt, Devon We had a great time at Seawatch. We loved the very tasteful décor and the homely feel. The caretaker was very helpful when we had a door lock problem. The main bedroom bed mattress was not very comfortable and the bed was very creaky, but nonetheless we would like to come back again one day.

REVIEWS FOR SHARKEYS COTTAGE

10 March 2023
We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully appointed cottage. It was everything we could have dreamed of. On our arrival we were greeted with a nice cake, bottle of wine and 2 prepared fireplaces, which we lit and sat in front of with cake and wine after a four-hour trek to get there. We had a lovely stay and it was always good knowing that on our early spring days out we would be returning to a lovely thatched cottage. The kitchen and bathroom are modern and work well. It was also good to mix with the locals in the brilliantly run Cadgwith Cove Inn, especially on folk night and fishermen’s shanty night. It is now twice we have used Cadgwith Cove Cottages and I know we will be using them again soon. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
Keith B, Hemel Hempstead, Herts

21 October 2022
We had a fabulous week at Sharkeys. It was a beautiful cottage. Everything we needed was provided, including a bottle of wine and a cake! Stunning location, best cottage in Cadgwith, spotlessly clean.
Tony H, Derbyshire

15 July 2022
We were 100% happy with Sharkey’s. The house is in a great location and the parking place is useful, although I preferred to park up the hill using the permit, which was great to have in addition. It was spotlessly clean, amazingly well equipped in every respect, very spacious and also very comfortable. The terrace was superb to have, especially as we had brilliant weather and so were able to eat out there all the time. We could see that a winter holiday there would be equally enjoyable, with two woodburners, a good TV service and a cosy atmosphere. We had friends to stay one night and they were absolutely bowled over by the cottage, and by Cadgwith itself. All in all, one of the best self-catering houses we have stayed in and we would like to stay there again. Thanks to everyone at the office who helped with our enquiries and to Sheila [the owner] for creating such an enjoyable holiday destination.
Peter and Carole, Shropshire

24 September 2021
We very much enjoyed our recent stay at Sharkey’s cottage and look forward to a return visit next year. It is a delightful fisherman’s cottage and, in our view, in the best location in Cadgwith. We enjoyed speaking to all the walkers on the coastal path and getting to know the fishing community. Such a well-equipped cottage too. Parking and unloading not easy, but we managed. Possibly not for anybody with mobility issues. We look forward to our next visit.
Suzanne W, Taunton

23 July 2021
There’s something ever so welcoming about this cottage and we immediately felt at home. I had worried that the outside table and chairs next to the footpath would be rather public, but it was fine and allowed for some lovely conversations with both walkers and locals. The seating was very comfy and we ate all our meals there. The heatwave allowed us to swim in the cove most days and the local community were very welcoming. The food at the Cadgwith pub was overpriced but delicious. The cottage was a treat – clean, cool in the heatwave and spacious. In general it was all a delight and I couldn’t stop the tears on our departure.
Lydia, Chepstow, Glos

25 September 2020
We had a very nice stay at Sharkey’s Cottage and were amazed at the size of the property. Very comfortable and very well-equipped, with great views of the cove. The parking was a bonus for loading/unloading our luggage, but having a parking permit meant we did not have to negotiate the tight access at the cottage too often. Just a couple of small things – lighter weight duvets would have made sleeping more comfortable and another frying pan would have been useful – but apart from these we had a great time in Cadgwith and no doubt will be back in the future.
Andy Burdon, Staffordshire

24 July 2020
We were delighted with our first visit to Sharkey’s Cottage, which we found clean, comfortable and beautifully located. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace taking in the fabulous views of the cove and having the occasional chat with walkers on the coastal path. After months of lockdown, this was the perfect tonic and we would definitely visit again.

09 April 2019
We had a lovely stay in Sharkey's Cottage. Apart from a few bumped heads on occasions, we enjoyed the cottage immensely. It was lovely to arrive at a cottage that was so clean and kept in a lovely condition. Having been to Cadgwith before we knew what to expect, but the position of Sharkey's was excellent in comparison. Our difficulties with the hot water were resolved by a great heating engineer/plumber who worked to identify the problem and sought a short term solution for us. We loved having a plentiful supply of logs for the fire, as well as excellent WiFi. My only criticism is of the mattress on one bed, which seemed rather on the cheaper side [now rectified by the owner]. However, the rest of the cottage made up for that and we hope to book again for next year.

Our first stay in Sharkey’s Cottage. It did not disappoint. Beautiful spot, looking over Cadgwith Cove. Lovely seating area outside. Plenty of room inside. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we have booked the cottage for two weeks next year. Thank you, Sharkey’s, for an excellent holiday.

21 May 2021
We really enjoyed our week at Sharkey’s, albeit the weather could have been kinder. We love the cottage and it’s certainly the best one we have stayed in over the 5 years we have been coming to Cadgwith. Overall, fantastic: absolutely no complaints. I certainly hope we will return.
Brian M, Buckinghamshire

11 September 2020
We had a lovely time at Sharkey’s. The cottage has been refurbished really well. We especially appreciated the welcoming bottle of wine! The kitchen was well equipped, although I would have liked a second frying pan. The housekeeping was excellent. We look forward to returning next year.
Ian, Crewe, Cheshire

31 January 2020
We absolutely loved Sharkey’s – it was our favourite of all the cottages we have visited with you in Cadgwith (although they are all superb). We loved its position on the cove, the fact that it used to be Sharkey’s, the log fires – the whole place was amazing and we will most definitely be back. Great time of year to visit too – the weather was exciting in the cove and places we visited were quiet compared to the summer crowds. It really was a special week.

We very much enjoyed Sharkey's Cottage. It surpassed our expectations and was much bigger than we thought - ideal for two couples as there is plenty of space and rooms to be together or have time in your own space. The views from the outdoor dining area are beautiful, as are the views from the house generally. It was exceptionally clean and bright - a real joy to stay in. We didn't need the log burners but imagine it is a very cosy cottage in the winter as well. Thank you from all of us.

REVIEWS FOR SHIP COTTAGE

13 January 2024
It was incredibly special for all of us to stay in Ship Cottage and to revisit Cadgwith. Our great grandparents, Richard Stephens and Helena (nee Jane) Stephens, lived in this cottage (or half of it) in the early to mid-1900s. It was a time to imagine re-tracing their steps, thinking about how they lived and the people they were. A tremendous opportunity, particularly for those of us coming from Australia. We love Ship Cottage and would love to come again. This visit was particularly special as we had three generations of Stephens here. A visit to treasure and remember.

13 May 2023
Ship Cottage suited us well, though it is in need of some refurbishment [owner’s note – new cooker and kitchen improvements completed for 2024]. The weather improved later in the week and we enjoyed visits to St Michael’s Mount, Godolphin, Glendurgan and Lizard Point, as well as the cliff walks around Cadgwith. Kynance Cove was a wonderful surprise and warranted two visits. We enjoyed dinners at the Cadgwith Cove Inn. Cadgwith is a special place that sneaks into our hearts. Leaving is hard.

REVIEWS FOR SMYRNA

07 December 2022
We have been coming to Cadgwith for 25 years. First time in Smyrna – beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean. Probably the best we have stayed in. Lovely time as always. Great to see the Christmas lights go on. Will be back again soon.
Harlan and Sharon, Pennymore, Devon

24 September 2022
Smyrna is a beautiful cottage – tastefully decorated and comfortable – and a prime spot in Cadgwith just a few steps away from both the beach and the pub. A wonderful holiday with friends. We will be back.
Jonathan, Bridport, Dorset

08 April 2022
Smyrna is a beautiful cottage and we found it very comfortable indeed. We very much enjoyed our stay and exploring the village and surrounding area. In fact, we found it very hard to leave. Thank you for organising our stay at such short notice. If our cottage in Helford had not been cancelled then we might not have discovered Cadgwith. We are already planning to return and will definitely book with you.
Jenny and Andrej, Stockbridge

17 April 2021
We would like to give ‘excellent’ as feedback on our recent stay at Smyrna. It is a delightful, spacious, beautifully clean and well-appointed property and we thoroughly enjoyed our short break. Thank you so much.
Carrie and Neil, Gillingham

10 July 2020
We had a wonderful time in Smyrna. Thank you for all your help in organising our stay, especially given the situation with Covid 19. The cottage was actually a lot nicer and bigger than we expected. We spoke with the caretaker who said it had recently been completely redecorated and it looked very beautiful. Everything was great with the stay and it gave us the perfect chance to switch off and relax.
Joelle, London

25 May 2019
We had a fantastic week in Smyrna. The weather was amazing - couldn't have wished for better. The house had pretty much anything you would need and was very clean. Having no mobile signal ensured peace and tranquillity - husband and friend were frequent visitors to the pub - us girls happy to just sit in the garden to read and chill. I would highly recommend to anyone, and in fact I have!
Lyn Knight, Hereford

06 April 2019
We always love staying at Smyrna and found the recently undertaken renovations really welcome. The choice of furnishings is first class. The cottage is fantastically positioned in the centre of Cadgwith village and we love to see all the comings and goings of life there. We look forward to our future stays at Smyrna this year - it really does feel like a second home to us.

Claudia Chester, Hants We all loved Smyrna and Cadgwith. The cottage was perfect - better than we could have hoped and even better in real life than it looked on the website. Cadgwith is unbelievably lovely and the wild weather just added to its dramatic beauty. We'd love to come back one day.

09 September 2017
Ian Clay, Cheshire A lovely stay in Cadgwith, and particularly at Smyrna. I would rank it as one of the best cottages we have stayed in. It has a very comfortable layout and was always warm. The kitchen/dining was particularly good and always encouraged a "sit down at the table" rather than eating from a tray. Parking was also good, spacious and secure without being too far from the cottage. My only niggle was a lack of sufficient pans (and lids), although we managed. We look forward to visiting Cadgwith again next year.

Paul Tregunna, Australia Just a brilliant old world cottage, beautifully updated inside. All amenities you would have at home. Very spacious for a country cottage and great location by the sea (and pub). Have now stayed in four of Cadgwith Cove Cottages' properties and never been disappointed. Very comforting, having travelled from Australia.

24 June 2017
Mike Morgan, West Midlands A fantastic holiday, with the best weather ever! Cottage was great - very comfortable and well equipped. The best cottage in Cadgwith. Reading the cottage visitors' book we came across an entry from the late 1980s where the previous owners of our house in Stourbridge stayed at Smyrna. What are the chances of that!! Thanks again and look forward to booking with you again.

02 December 2022
What a beautiful cottage – best location in Cadgwith. A great few days walking, shopping and enjoying the beautiful beaches, staying with friends. Feel I have been away for a month!
Anne Jones, Worcestershire

03 September 2022
We had an amazing holiday at Smyrna. The cottage was amazing in both location and cleanliness. We were made welcome by all in the village and did not need to venture off the peninsula until we departed. Thanks to all at Cadgwith Cove Cottages for a seamless booking process. Hopefully we will be back next year.
Quartly family, Thame, Oxon

07 August 2021
We had such a great time staying in Smyrna and showing our relatives around the area that they wanted to immediately book it again for next year! Smyrna is a beautiful cottage and we really enjoyed our stay. All credit to the team for providing a great, clean place to stay.
Richard, Acton, London

31 July 2020
We had a fab stay at Smyrna. Excellent property – everything you need for a self-catering holiday. Beautifully decorated – it was so fresh we worried about making scratches etc. Superbly clean and in fact, despite Covid, it was the first time I’ve not felt the need to clean an accommodation upon entry. It was so lovely I felt we needed to leave it in the same condition we found it in. We’ve been to Cadgwith several times and will certainly be returning.
Kidney family, Devon

26 October 2019
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Smyrna. The cottage was cosy, comfortable and clean. A perfect position to enjoy Cadgwith and explore the Lizard peninsula. Owners and caretakers very friendly and helpful. Thank you for helping us make some special memories and re-live some old ones.
Paul, Dawn and Jim, Henley-on-Thames

11 May 2019
We always enjoy going to Cadgwith in the spring and this year was no exception. We particularly enjoyed Smyrna this year as the new furniture was extremely comfortable and we thought the colours and fabrics used for the blinds, cushions and carpets really enhanced the old cottage. Opening up the fireplace in the living room and installing the electric woodburner makes the room appear more spacious, and the stripping of the stonework made an enormous difference. Charles and Jo (the caretakers) are very attentive and helpful and make the cottage very welcoming for our arrival. We have had a very long association with Cadgwith Cove Cottages and we hope to continue this. Thank you to all.
Trevor and Wendy, Buckinghamshire

29 September 2018
We very much enjoyed our stay at Smyrna. The cottage was perfect - picturesque and characterful and also well equipped. It is in a great position to explore the wonderful unspoilt village of Cadgwith and the rest of the beautiful Lizard. We will definitely be coming back.
S Cook, Haywards Heath

04 November 2017
Ruth Richardson, Berkshire Each time we visit Cadgwith it gets better and better. This visit the highlight was the artisan bread, baked locally. Smyrna was a delight as normal and Cadgwith Cove Cottages is a very well run, professional company.

26 August 2017
The Hamblins, Wiltshire We had the most wonderful stay at Smyrna. It's our second time with Cadgwith Cove Cottages and this cottage was just fabulous. The location was magical. Cadgwith has the ability of taking life's stresses away! Many thanks for letting us share it.

08 July 2017
David Cunningham, Staffs Terrific, and a lovely property. Thoroughly enjoyed it, which is why we are returning for a week in late October!

10 June 2017
Kath and Paul Absolom, Northants We had a lovely week in the cottage, which was, as always, beautifully looked after by Charles and Jo. They were also more than helpful when the WiFi/landline broke down and BT had to be called. This was rectified within 24 hours, thanks to very prompt attention by Charles and Jo and BT. We would say that the Cadgwith Inn we found to be rather expensive now and the food not quite so good, although we couldn't have had a better welcome from Helen and Gary and staff and it was lovely to see them again.

REVIEWS FOR STARGAZEY

01 May 2023
Thank you for letting us stay in Stargazey, Where we could be lavish, and lively, and lazy. The cottage is cosy and felt like our home, A shelter, a cave made of warm granite stone. So much to explore on these sublime Lizard lands, Look! That serpentine dragon of ol’ Kennack Sands. And those beautiful cliffs of rare wildflowers. Spring tides rolling under the meteor showers! From Poltesco, that precious stone-cove, so hidden, To Kennack, so wild, to tranquil Lankidden. No need for a phone, no need for a car, ‘Specially after a few too many down old Potters Bar! With salt in our hair and sand in our toes, We’d return to the comfort of your holiday home. Kuggar surprised us – calm and yet colourfully crazy, Oh, how lovely to stay at your little Stargazey!
Alex and Tamara, Cornwall

27 August 2022
Stargazey is perfect for the couple looking to get away and is a great base for touring the area. It’s a lovely, cosy cottage equipped with all the amenities you might need, and it’s in a quiet and picturesque location. We highly recommend a walk to the beach for breakfast at Mora’s café and then, in the afternoon, a stroll the other way to Treleague Dairy for ice cream. The guide booklets and magazines about the area and recommendations from the owner were very helpful.
Isobel, Woodbury, USA

01 June 2022
We loved our stay in this beautiful area. Stargazey itself is a quiet relaxing spot, close to beautiful coastline for walking and swimming. The sunny decking is fab for relaxing outdoors. We also made use of the local bus service to access The Lizard easily and walked along the coastal path to local villages. There is a great cafe at Kennack Sands. The apartment had everything we needed. Thanks for making us welcome.
Catrin, West Bridgford

What a little gem! Perfect location, very quiet and equipped with everything we could possibly need. Daisy and Jack loved the bunk beds and the woodburner was very cosy. Lorna and Kenneth, Hampshire First visit to the Lizard - we loved being able to walk to so many beautiful bays. Cottage was well equipped and very comfortable - a great base for exploring SW Cornwall. Weather was excellent - warm and sunny apart from a wet Wednesday but we still managed a walk near Land's End. Would recommend Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens near Penzance. Loved our week here - we'll be back.

04 August 2017
Chris, Hannah, Maisy and Gwenllian, Cardiff Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely cottage. We have had a wonderful time bodyboarding at Poldhu Cove, eating pasties from Ann's shop, visiting the Cornwall museum in Truro, a boat trip in Falmouth, a tour of the Lizard lighthouse, a coastal walk to Kynance Cove and going to Mousehole and Marazion. We have undertaken extensive research and decided that Treleaven's ice-cream is the best! (Tip - rhubarb crumble flavour!)

16 June 2017
Carole and Clive, Manchester Our third visit to Stoneturner's Cottage and another wonderful fortnight on the Lizard. Recommend getting the bus to Poldhu or Mullion coves and then walking back to the Lizard. Fantastic views and not too hard a walk. Also walking to Cadgwith via the coastal path and coming back via St Ruan's well and Grade Church. Hope to come back next year!

Our first time in Sunset, but third time on Trevelyan – so convenient for everything and guaranteed parking a real bonus. Sunset was lovely and clean on our arrival. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The owner was also very responsive and friendly when we encountered problems with one of the toilets. Jeffrey, USA Lovely, perfect. The place was clean, cosy, comfy, quiet and excellently apportioned, with maps and helpful literature on Cornwall and the more local surroundings. Just a perfect getaway. The bed was SO comfortable and sleep delicious after days of exploring, hiking, swimming and fish-eating. Carolyn was hands-down the most charming host I have ever had. You are in good hands staying here. Thanks for a magical week in Cornwall.

09 August 2018

Thank you so much, Carolyn and Paul, for letting us stay in The Burrow. We had a great 5 days visiting places we probably wouldn't have seen on our own. The area is a delight, made perfect by the great weather. The Burrow is very well equipped, with everything we could need. Loved the cream tea, cake, wine and the games of cards! Thank you again.
Lilian and Ken, Newton Abbot

19 September 2017
Hayley Mills The Burrow is a lovely little place - perfectly located for all the beautiful little coves nearby. Carolyn is the perfect owner and host and her hospitality is second to none. On arrival we had been left local bread, butter, milk, eggs, also traditional Cornish splits, local jam, clotted cream and a lovely bottle of white chilling in the fridge. YOU COULDN'T ASK FOR MORE!! The Burrow has a folder full of local info with everything in it to make the most of your stay, especially if you are unfamiliar with the area. A lovely little find that is definitely value for money, and the hospitality goes way beyond what you pay for.

23 August 2017
Karen and Matt, East Sussex The Burrow is a cosy, well organised, compact chalet, within easy walking distance of Kynance Cove and other stunning places of natural beauty. It is quiet, private and equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. It was so nice to arrive to a Cornish cream tea waiting for us and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The Burrow is lovingly decorated, with Cornish themes everywhere, and there is parking pretty much right outside the door, which is very convenient. A little gem - very well priced and we highly recommend.

REVIEWS FOR THE COT

13 October 2018
We had a lovely break in Cadgwith and really enjoyed staying at The Cot. The cottage was rich in atmosphere and family history, and we enjoyed lovely, cosy evenings whilst the wind howled outside. We ate out in the village a couple of times (the crab sandwich at the Old Cellars was delicious) and toddled up to Ruan Minor for vital supplies. Although we only stayed for 5 nights (thanks again to the owners for allowing the shorter stay) we had a very welcome break from our busy schedules.
Jane Zonnenberg, Hants

02 December 2017
Shane and Jem, London It was an absolute pleasure to escape the everyday hustle and bustle with a retreat to this cottage. We are a couple with very busy schedules during the week, and this has lovingly given us a most deserved break in an all too tranquil atmosphere. We will be back some day.

29 July 2017
David and Jennifer, New Hampshire, USA A lovely week in this cosy cottage....walks by the sea, biking through lanes, along beaches....heaven! Thank you for making the cottage a warm place to come back to at the day's end. We hope to return.

20 May 2017
Judy, Neil and Anne Waters, Northumberland We had a wonderful time at The Cot. We enjoyed exploring the coast path and had beautiful sunshine most of the time. Loved the local pub, especially the singing night on Tuesday. The cottage was perfect and we particularly enjoyed early evening drinks in the garden - such a great view! We hope to return.

11 March 2017
Debbie and Colin, Harpenden, Herts We had a very enjoyable stay in this lovely cottage - it certainly felt like home from home. We explored the local area and thoroughly enjoyed our brunch overlooking Lizard Point. The walk down to Kynance Cove was well worth the magnificent views. We had a wonderful week and hope to visit Cadgwith and stay in The Cot again in the future.

29 October 2016
Jon, Fi and Charlie, Powys Once again, everything has been perfect and a tonic. Anything which can get a 16-year-old boy out of bed unprompted has to be a miracle. Much fishing of mullet in the cove and yet more photos of Cadgwith in all its moods. Thank you for making The Cot such a wonderful place to stay.

15 April 2016
Nicky and Terry, Fremington, Devon What a lovely village and beautiful cottage. We have had a fantastic stay here. The weather has been great for walking and we have had our first paddle of the year! We wanted a relaxing holiday and this has been perfect. We would recommend the cottage and village to anyone and we will certainly return.

05 May 2018
Mr and Mrs Keil, Germany We were very happy to see Cadgwith again after 4 years. During that time nothing has changed - the green and flowers everywhere, the beautiful coast with its wonderful views, the old cellars and the pub and last but not least our little cosy Cot! We had a few small problems in the cottage which we spoke to the owner about but despite these little inconveniences we really had a very good time in Cadgwith and Cornwall.

23 September 2017
Gail and Lol, Staffs Just like 'coming home'. A lovely stay in this wonderful spot in Cornwall. Very 'interesting' weather this time and hoping for better next year. Sad to be leaving but taking back lots of special memories to treasure. Thank you for a lovely stay.

22 July 2017
Alan and Benedict, Galway, Ireland Loved our stay in this picture-perfect cottage. Also the views from the upper terrace are stunning, albeit a bit of a hike. Really recommend dinner in the local pub and the fresh fish from the fishmongers in the village. The Cot has everything you could ask for, for a couple or a young family. Nice local walks in the area too, although the coastal path is not for someone with a fear of heights. Sad to go but would come back again.

13 May 2017
Meg and Mary, Oxford and Shrewsbury Another wonderful visit to Cadgwith and this cosy cottage. Each time I bring along a different friend who is immediately smitten, just like me. The weather has been glorious and we have spent considerable time 'up the garden' admiring the terraces and the gorgeous views, with some reading thrown in. We have discovered many local treasures and eaten at Coast bistro at the Lizard - delicious food - the best fish and chips, also from the village, and the two cafes on the point. The refurbished shop in Ruan Minor is delightful. Much to come back for!!

11 February 2017
John and Cilla Weir, Bristol A beautiful and cosy cottage. Several fabulous coast path walks, with lunch on the terrace at Lizard Point in shirt sleeves - in February! Ann's pasties are great - we're taking a pile back to Bristol. Thank you for the flowers, milk and delicious white wine. We would love to come back...

21 May 2016
Miguel and Claire Sutcliffe, Cowbridge, South Wales We write this with disappointment and sadness...because our week is coming to an end. We've been coming to Cadgwith every year for the past 12 years and love it more and more each time. This is our second visit to The Cot and by far our favourite residence! A great job has been done with the garden and offers great views of the cove and beyond - a superb place to relax with a beer or glass of wine and some olives! One thing we don't do is tell people back home about Cadgwith. It's our special place and we want to keep it secret!!

REVIEWS FOR THE LOFT, OLD CELLARS

03 October 2022
We had the best weekend ever at The Loft and cannot wait to return. Luckily we live in Cornwall and are already talking about our next visit. Cadgwith is the most beautiful village with a wonderful atmosphere, great pub (and singers) and wonderful walks. The Loft was just perfect – we describe it as quirky and creaky (a bit like us!).
Sally D, Truro

28 May 2022
We loved it at the Old Cellars and felt right in the heart of everything with the locals coming and going fishing and at the pub. It was a lot easier dropping stuff off than I thought it would be and parking in the car park was no problem. We didn’t miss the lack of private outdoor space with the beach just a few steps away. And there was surprisingly little noise from the pub. It was a bit dated inside with a slightly odd layout but entirely usable and reflected in the price. We would definitely book again.
Keith and Liz, Wallasey, Merseyside

04 November 2017
Mrs V Nesbitt, Gloucestershire We had a lovely stay at The Loft. It was cosy and warm with the woodburner and we loved being so near the beach. The local people were friendly and helpful, including the owners of The Loft, who generously left us wine, logs, kindling etc. Although the pub was so close, we were not bothered by any noise at all. We did find the shower and shower room quite restrictive in size, but this would not be easy to rectify!

03 September 2022
Our 14 days in Cadgwith were a wonderful adventure. Anyone who chooses this place for their holidays will know why: it is quiet, picturesque and completely extraordinary. The whole of Cornwall is within reach. The loft is located in the middle of the village – a few steps away from the pebble beach, the fishing boats and the coastal walk. It is right next to the pub but you will not be disturbed, even on the frequent music evenings. There is ample space for two, even in rainy weather. The bathroom with shower is very small, but OK. The bed is narrow but we both slept like never before. The décor is rustic, functional – everything works. You can stop in front of the fishing boats to unload and the car is left in a car park about 500 metres away – it is safe there and the easy path soon becomes part of the daily routine. We would be happy to come back sometime and stay in the loft again. The windows are very small and it was sometimes hard to tell what the weather was doing. And there was no outside seating area, but we just went and sat on a bench on the Todden – a rock that divides the beaches.
Stefan and Maria, Osnabruck, Germany

03 November 2018
A very enjoyable stay at the Old Cellars. We particularly liked the location (no noise at all from the pub next door) and also the friendliness, helpfulness and generosity of the owners. Even the November weather couldn't have been better.
V Nesbitt, Glos

30 April 2016
Mrs Whittaker, York A lovely stay at The Loft - convenient for everything, fabulously comfortable bed - can't fault it. The shower was tiny for my husband but it wouldn't put us off coming again.

REVIEWS FOR TREGASTEL

09 March 2024
We had a fantastically restful time at Tregastel – it was just what we needed. The facilities were excellent and everything was very clean and easy to find. We didn’t really use the patio and garden and bench areas but think in the summer they would be superb. It’s a nice walk to the cove and back as well. Kathryn [the owner] was very helpful. Another lovely week in Cadgwith. We hope to be back soon.
Lisa and Nic, West Midlands

REVIEWS FOR TREVALLACK FARMHOUSE

04 August 2023
Really lovely stay. Beautiful farmhouse. The weather was not kind to us but still enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the hamper and cake – a really lovely touch. My dad loved the barn owls living behind us!
Rachel and family, Sidcup, Kent

23 June 2023
Our first visit to the Lizard and what a week! The cottage became our ‘home from home’ and always so welcoming to return to at the end of a day of exploring. This is such a beautiful part of Cornwall and we will be leaving knowing we’ve left so much unseen, so yes, we will be back! From pasties, cyder, ‘ansome’ crab sandwiches and lobster, we’ve tried (and enjoyed) it all. Thank you, Nessie, for all your help and for making us so welcome.
Kim and Martyn, nr Alton, Hampshire

31 March 2023
Trevallack Farmhouse is as well equipped as any holiday rental we have stayed in. We found it comfortable and convenient – in a peaceful location and ideal for exploring The Lizard. The welcome pack was a treat. Spring seems very late this year – the daffodils have been a picture; likewise Glendurgan and Trebah Gardens. However, the weather has been wet and wild. We have been down in Cornwall many times at this time of year but never has the ground been waterlogged like this. To say the paths have been muddy would be a huge understatement. Thank heavens for the underfloor heating to dry our boots each evening! We had some enjoyable meals at The Three Tuns in St Keverne square. The pasties they sell in Gweek village stores are exceptional.
Michael, Deborah and Joanna, Essex

19 August 2022
We had a lovely stay at Trevallack Farmhouse and would recommend it to anyone. The house was well stocked with all the things you have at home, such as coffee machines, large fridges and freezers. The beds were really comfy and the whole house just felt like home after a few days. If we can, we will be booking again for next year!

Thank you, Nessie and Micky, for having us back. Lots of walking, beach visits, ice-cream and pasties this time around. The weather was kind to us again, so having a couple of BBQs in the beautiful garden was a given! Thanks to Micky for the trip around the farm – a great experience. Managed to catch some fish out of Porthleven so we look forward to doing that and more again next time (year?!) A great place to be for the Platinum Jubilee. See you soon!

Lovely farmhouse – very comfortable and peaceful. Had a good week exploring the area and sampling a few good places to eat. Our only downside was the flies, but this did not deter us from enjoying our stay.

Such a lovely welcome with a beautiful hamper – much appreciated after a long journey with the children. The farmhouse has been a wonderful place to stay and is very well equipped. Many thanks to Nessie for all her help in answering our questions and quick response. We love Cornwall and have enjoyed exploring more this year. A must for food is Mullion’s ‘Cornish Curry Company’ and Newlyn’s ‘Mackerel Sky Seafood Bar’ – well worth the drive. Thank you for providing such a lovely home to enjoy our youngest’s first holiday!

What a wonderful week we have had in this beautiful house in a beautiful part of the world. Nessie, thank you so much for answering all our queries so swiftly – advice, extra firewood, cheery hellos…..! Some of the things we enjoyed were: PK Porthcurno – Cable and Wireless museum next to the Minack Theatre. A fantastic outing – perfect for youngsters and adults – utterly fascinating. Also, Cadgwith Cove Inn on a Friday evening for very good food and informal sea shanties in the bar. Praa Sands and Coverack – both fantastic for walks at low tide – and the Paris Hotel in Coverack also has very good food. Gunwalloe bay and church – beautiful. Fish shops in Newlyn – excellent. Not forgetting lovely veg boxes at the end of the road.

Trevallack Farmhouse was wonderful. It was everything we wanted for the week away with the family. The downstairs bedroom was perfect for my in-laws and the garden was lovely for my nephew, and the dog, to play in safely. There was also plenty of car parking. The house was spacious and the bedrooms and bathrooms just right. The house was very clean and tidy when we arrived and it was such a nice touch that we were greeted with lovely flowers, bread, milk, a vegetable basket and clotted cream. A big thank you to Nessie for picking up our order from the butcher and putting it in the fridge, and for making our week in Cornwall so nice. We will definitely be back again.

We had the most amazing time at Trevallack Farmhouse. The house is perfect and we could not fault it, especially when it comes with homemade brownies on arrival! Nessie was very helpful with any queries we had. The photos do not do this property justice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back.

Thank you for a lovely stay in your cosy cottage. Had everything we needed. The cream tea was delicious and the flowers pretty. We loved snuggling around the woodburner in the evening. We love Cadgwith – it is a great base to visit all the beautiful places. A nice evening with folk music in the pub. Sad to leave but will be back – there is something magical here.

We had a lovely stay. Cream tea was a welcome treat. Our daughter and 6-month-old grandson came to stay for a couple of days. They both had the best night’s sleep – it must be the sea air.

This was our first time staying in Cadgwith itself, which we really enjoyed, especially the beach BBQ, the singing on Friday and the atmosphere after the gig race. A lovely cottage, very well set up, and a lovely surprise with the cream tea. A great holiday – thank you.

Vine Cottage was great – clean, tidy and well decorated. It was in a great location and had everything we needed. We would book it again. It was lovely that after a long journey we were greeted with a cream tea left in the cottage – it was well needed and such a thoughtful gesture and a great start to our holiday. Please pass on our thanks to the owner. We had a lovely holiday and now have some fond memories. The neighbours, including pub staff, were also nice and friendly, which added to the holiday.

We had a wonderful week at Vine Cottage. It was beautifully clean and tidy and had all the cutlery and cooking utensils we needed. It’s right in the centre of the village and couldn’t be handier for the friendly pub – don’t miss the traditional shanties and Cornish songs on Friday nights! I bought fresh fish (caught in a Cadgwith boat by a Cadgwith fisherman) at the tiny shop every day and cooked it at (my temporary Cadgwith) home. There’s a lovely terrace area that gets sun virtually all day – the perfect place to read about the history of the village, including tales of secret (pirates?) treasure discovered hidden in one of the cottage walls a few years back. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

We had a lovely time in Cadgwith at Vine Cottage. It was very relaxing and the cottage was amazing. It was spotless and the little details like leaving us a cream tea was most welcome. I’m pretty sure we will book again in Cadgwith next year as The Lizard is so amazing – one of the last unspoilt parts of the country. Many thanks.

I loved this cottage – listening to the sea as I fell asleep, and the crows and the seagulls were very chatty! We walked to Roskilly’s along a lovely coastal path – they have the best pizza ever!! We also walked to Kennack Sands and enjoyed a swim with very rough waves. There are some very friendly Shetland ponies up on the headland who are very keen on cuddles. Also we saw some seals at the Cornish seal sanctuary. I really enjoyed the stay and hope to be back soon.

Thank you so much for a truly wonderful week in your delightful cottage – so cosy and comfortable with such a stunning view in sunlight and moonlight! Coverack is such a friendly place. Even the weather was unexpectedly warm and plenty of sunshine to enjoy. We would recommend the Courthouse restaurant/Ship Inn at Mawgan. We had an excellent meal there but it is on the expensive side.
