From the name of the cottage you may make the mistake of thinking that all there is to do here is to watch dolphins! There is so much more! Keen walkers, beach lovers, bird spotters, enthusiastic anglers will all have found their perfect destination. Within easy reach of spectacular cliff walks, and also yards away from the village pub, restaurants and shops, the cottage provides the best of all worlds. The house was a traditional artisan cottage constructed from the local serpentine stone and has been tastefully modernised incorporating an open fire and woodburner to enjoy those winter storms in comfort. The Lizard is a very popular destination for a holiday offering beautiful cliff walks, dramatic sandy beaches including Housel Bay and Kynance Cove, together with good pubs and restaurants. Whilst you are here take a short walk to Pentreath and try to discover the hidden treasure of Captain Avery – the king of pirates – who reportedly hid his booty here following his return from the Bahamas on the sloop Sea Flower (see the Treasure Map in the house). It’s just one of the many seafaring stories around! From upstairs you can look towards Land's End and may even spot a dolphin!

Accommodation: GROUND FLOOR: Entrance porch: leads into large very comfortable lounge/dining room with log burner and beautiful stone fireplace with open fire. Comfortable seating. Dining table and chairs. Internet TV. KITCHEN: galley style kitchen with fridge, electric cooker, microwave. Pantry for good storage. Outside patio area with table and chairs and barbeque. Outside UTILITY ROOM: with washing machine and freezer. FIRST FLOOR: Main DOUBLE BEDROOM: with sea glimpses. BUNK BEDDED ROOM: with sea glimpses. BATHROOM: with bath, electric shower, wash basin and WC. PARKING: can usually be found just outside or on the village green about 20 yards away. HEATING: electric panel heaters, open fire and woodburning stove. PETS: one well-behaved pet. SPECIAL NOTE: The upstairs bedroom would be unsuitable for the disabled and small children. Susan Bellman, Holland Dolphin Cottage has a wonderful location in the village centre. The cottage was excellent - all we needed was present. Thank you for the flowers - a lovely gesture. We came for a holiday and left not wanting to go home.
