Occupying one of the most idyllic spots in Cadgwith and originally built as a capstan house to haul the boats up the beach, Dummers Loft stands just yards from the sea. The large patio with steps directly onto the beach is ideal for sitting and watching the local fishing and boating activity, or for some al fresco dining. In the summer the gentle splash of the waves is about the only sound you will hear, and in the winter months you may be able to do a little storm watching whilst keeping warm and dry around the cosy wood-burner. With the most incredible views from this breathtaking location, this very special and traditional cottage could be your perfect holiday haven.
ACCOMMODATION: Ground Floor: SITTING ROOM with DINING-AREA with TV, DVD player, CD and tape player, and wood-burner. Recently refurbished and extended KITCHEN with Neff main oven, Neff small oven/microwave, Bosch dishwasher, large Bosch fridge/freezer, washing machine. First Floor: MASTER BEDROOM with super king-size bed with views of the cove. TV. TWIN BEDROOM: beds can be made into a super king-size bed by prior request. SINGLE BEDROOM. New SHOWER ROOM: with wash basin, WC and large shower, and underfloor heating. Refurbished BATHROOM: with wash basin, WC, bath with shower overhead. PARKING: parking places can be found around the cove or you can use the car park about 400 yards away. Season ticket supplied. HEATING:electric radiators and log burning stove. PATIO: with table and chairs. SPECIAL NOTES: Towels are included in the rental. Cot and high chair available on request. There is a low beam in the main living-room so anyone taller than 5'8" may need to duck! Take care on the open-tread staircase and with children on the patio. There is a public right of way across the patio and steps to the beach but this is not often used. Please note that for unlimited access to logs for the woodburner there is an additional £35 charge. Security deposit: £100.

We've stayed at Dummer's Loft 3 or 4 times now and love it. It's all about 'location, location, location' - beautiful village, right on the beach. So cosy with the log burner - rain or shine it doesn't matter. A new wonderfully equipped kitchen, fantastic new bed and bedroom with views out to sea, and within staggering distance of the brilliant Cadgwith Cove Inn - what more could you ask for! We've also bought a number of paintings from Nigel Legge, a local fisherman and artist who has a small gallery on The Todden.

Thank you for our stay at Dummer's Loft. We had an absolutely lovely time and wish that we never had to leave! We were lucky with the weather - blue skies most days, lovely walks with the dog, sea shanties in the pub. Heading back home feeling very relaxed and lots of happy memories.
