Half a mile from Cadgwith Cove, this private hide-away is compact and cosy and provides a wonderful relaxing setting for your Cornish holiday. Many pretty footpaths take you to wonderful cliff walks and to the villages of Ruan Minor, Cadgwith and The Lizard. Little Barn has been imaginatively converted into open plan studio accommodation. Once a milking parlour, with walls two feet thick, the use of much natural wood has given a very traditional feel to the property. The French windows open onto a large patio area, which catches the evening sunshine. There is a barbecue built into the stone wall and a chiminea to keep warm on sultry evenings.
ACCOMMODATION: four granite steps lead up to the stable door entrance to the barn. DOUBLE BED AREA: 4ft 6in double bed with built-in wardrobe and deep silled windows. KITCHEN/DINING AREA: a hand-crafted kitchen with electric cooker (extractor over), larder fridge, microwave and washing machine. CENTRAL SECTION: with fold down table (to create extra space) and dining chairs. Comfortable chairs to enjoy the Smart TV, DVD, radio. USB charging points in lounge area. Double french doors lead to courtyard. BATHROOM: very spacious with double size, electric shower cubicle, WC, wall heater, electric shaver point and washbasin. OUTSIDE: large private courtyard with dining table and chairs. Zero gravity recliners and kettle barbeque. HEATING: electric. PARKING: plenty of private space. SPECIAL NOTES: the owners reside in the adjacent barn. Towels are provided. PETS: 2 small dogs welcome. Security Deposit: £100.

This bijou cottage – small but perfectly formed – is in a great location, near Cadgwith and Ruan Minor and close to an artisan bakery and dairy/farm shop. The owners had thought of everything and we particularly liked the Cornishware and the comfy bed, as well as being able to buy their freshly picked garden produce. The weather was not very good but there were still so many things we could do – visiting local gardens and beaches, as well as Penlee House and the Morrab library in Penzance, sailing in Falmouth, taking the ferry from Falmouth to St Mawes, to name but a few. We hope to return.

Great holiday base. A 'little gem'. Quiet and relaxing. Thai take-away excellent. We will be back.
