The Poldark TV series has proved a major hit with audiences and Spring Tide provides a great base from which to explore Cornwall and all the scenic locations. This is a ground floor apartment that has recently been stylishly refurbished in a beach hut style with bright white paintwork and colourful furnishings. Large patio doors lead from the living area to the garden enabling very easy living for enjoying the sunshine and a barbeque, weather permitting! Even on a dull day the rooms are light and you can just see the sea! Spring Tide is only a short walk from Cadgwith Cove where you can watch the ebbing and flowing tides on the beach. The fishermen launch their boats from here and later you may be able to sample their catch at the Cadgwith Cove Inn or the Old Cellars restaurant. The village of Ruan Minor has a well stocked grocery store and post office, the village hall with a thriving market every Thursday morning, the village church, tennis courts and children’s play area. Exploring further afield is effortless as there is parking just outside, so trips to St Ives, Falmouth and Penzance are all about 40 minutes away.

A delight to come in to a real Cornish welcome of a cream tea, wine and a great place to relax and enjoy our holiday. Check out the regular Wednesday barbecue in Cadgwith Cove - we had shark! Great walks from the doorstep - obviously Cadgwith is a must, but also check out Poltesco and the coastal path. Kynance is stunning, especially at low tide. Our eldest enjoyed a surf lesson with the surf school at Poldhu, while we enjoyed hot chocolate and pizza at the beach café. Also ventured further afield, but wherever our adventures took us it was great to come back to Spring Tide - we wish we could stay another week.

Thank you for a lovely stay. The cream tea (and bottle of wine) was much needed after two days travelling from Sunderland with two small children. The kids have loved their stay, as have we. The cottage is perfectly located and we have enjoyed seeing something new every day. Highlights have been Kynance, Glendurgan and a walk down to Cadgwith to see the fishing boats.
