Property details
The Lizard peninsula is the perfect place for watching the stars whether it’s the Milky Way or the Plough above you. Even if you are not a “stargazer’ then you can learn from the Stellarium app on your phone! The quiet hamlet of Kuggar is the perfect place for a holiday as you are only a few minutes walk away from Kennack Sands with its long sandy beach and rock pools to explore. The two beach cafes offer a great location for watching the waves while enjoying a coffee or al fresco lunch. Just around the corner from Stargazey there are bars, gift shops, pizza to take away and a selection of other foods. From here you can join the South West Coastal path and see some of the most beautiful coastline in England. Jenny Agutter (from Call the Midwife) lives less than a mile away and said recently ‘I travel a lot in my line of work, but every time I come back to Cornwall, I feel it’s the most stunning place in the UK,’ . This traditional Cornish stone building has been very tastefully converted into easy living studio accommodation and with the decking area outside you can enjoy the sunshine for most of the day.

The accommodation was perfect – very clean, nicely decorated, with everything you need. And in a great location. Many thanks.

Thank you for letting us stay in Stargazey,
Where we could be lavish, and lively, and lazy.
The cottage is cosy and felt like our home,
A shelter, a cave made of warm granite stone.
So much to explore on these sublime Lizard lands,
Look! That serpentine dragon of ol’ Kennack Sands.
And those beautiful cliffs of rare wildflowers.
Spring tides rolling under the meteor showers!
From Poltesco, that precious stone-cove, so hidden,
To Kennack, so wild, to tranquil Lankidden.
No need for a phone, no need for a car,
‘Specially after a few too many down old Potters Bar!
With salt in our hair and sand in our toes,
We’d return to the comfort of your holiday home.
Kuggar surprised us – calm and yet colourfully crazy,
Oh, how lovely to stay at your little Stargazey!
