REVIEWS FOR RENE`S COTTAGE

30 June 2018
Mark and Caroline Williamson, Cambridgeshire We had another brilliant week at Rene's Cottage. We love the cottage - it's just right for the two of us and our little dog. Its location, just on the edge of the village and within 100 yards of everything, is spot on. The cottage is always spotless upon arrival, with fresh flowers, and the 'Happy Birthday' banners I sent were put up prior to our arrival for my wife's birthday. The staff at Cadgwith Cove Cottages are great. Thanks guys, we'll definitely be back again.

Jane Jones, Devon We were delighted with our stay in Rene's Cottage (and very much appreciated the Christmas decorations around the cottage). It is well equipped, clean, warm and, within the restrictions that such a small property naturally imposes, such as somewhere to leave muddy boots, is just fine. As a few other visitors have mentioned, the sofa is probably coming towards the end of its comfortable life! We will recommend Cadgwith Cove Cottages to friends and family.

Debra and Barry Seed, Lincs We had a wonderful week in Cadgwith at Rene's Cottage. It is a lovely cottage which we would recommend to others. The only thing that could be improved is the sofa, which was not very comfortable. We also had difficulty with the parking spot, scraping the underside of the car when parking and leaving. [Note from the owner - the parking area is being levelled - Jan 2018.]

Liz and Andy, London Our third year at Rene's and we love it. The cottage is a great place to stay and the cove is one of our favourite places on earth! We had a pleasant time walking on the coastal path. Cornwall is such a beautiful place and we have been able to relax completely. PS - A new sofa would be appreciated.

Paul and Rachel, Aylesbury, Bucks A fantastic week in a lovely little cottage. Some beautiful scenery and great food. Cornwall is rightly proud of all it has to offer. Cottage is so clean and has everything you could need. Locals very friendly and welcoming. Thanks for a lovely week.

Geoff and Lindsay, Cheshire We came to Cadgwith for a day in August and fell in love with it. We returned for a week in November and have now booked for Christmas. You may never be rid of us. Rene's Cottage is lovely - thank you so much for the flowers and for decorating the cottage for Christmas. We've had an amazing time. For those who come after us, enjoy this magical cove.

Mrs Sage, West Yorkshire We loved the location of Rene's within the village - couldn't be any closer to the beach and, of course, the pub! I also loved my morning ritual - a glorious walk to pick up supplies from the local shops. The whole process of finding and booking was very clear and there was a very friendly voice on the end of the phone. The same can be said about the caretaker, who was very friendly. The website was well designed, easy to use and the cottage description was entirely accurate. We absolutely loved our stay and plan to be back in the near future. I've also recommended it to friends.

Scott Taylor, Birmingham Rene's is a lovely, traditional Cornish cottage that was clean and well presented, in a divine location. The parking is a bit awkward, but difficult to change. We could also have done with a bit of padding on the bathroom beams!

Luke Veal A beautiful property in an amazing community. The local pub is nice. Beautiful walks on the doorstep. The little touches made the cottage even more special - thank you. We can't wait to come back.

Elaine Milis Rene's is a delightful cottage - very cosy and homely. We were surprised to find a basket of logs/kindling and some coal for the fire, as well as some basic provisions in the kitchen which we were not expecting. Parking, although a little precarious, was an obvious bonus. There was lots of hot water available for the bath, plus WiFi. A few suggestions for improvements: an outside light would be useful as returning after dark was tricky to get into the kitchen door, and the wonderful bath could do with a non-slip surface to make taking a shower safer. The sofa was extremely uncomfortable but made OK by using pillows from upstairs and cushions from our car. Overall we would recommend the cottage, and visit again, but perhaps a little better prepared.

Ruth and Andy Brunson, Leicester What a fabulous place to stay! A super, well-equipped cottage situated in the friendliest cove. Taking away some very happy memories, and a few bumps to the head!

Nicki Cassidy, London Everything about my stay at Rene's Cottage was perfect! I have no complaints at all - beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting. Hope to return one day.

David and Elaine Roberts, Leicestershire A wonderful four days - a delightful birthday treat. Rene's Cottage has a very interesting history and the village seems to have retained a lovely sense of community. We have enjoyed some beautiful weather, allowing us to walk the coastal paths and swim in the sea.

Robert Walpole, Dorset We had a great holiday at Rene's Cottage, made even better by the fantastic weather we had. We particularly liked the history of the cottage, the location of the property and the friendliness of the locals and holidaymakers in the nearby cottages. If the holiday was scored marks out of ten, my wife and I would have scored it ten out of ten. We wouldn't change anything - it's perfect as it is.

A little gem of a place, Rene's has been sympathetically upgraded to cater for all modern needs yet retains all the original charm and character you would expect of a historic building of this period. After exploring the delights of Cornwall there's nothing nicer than sitting in front of the woodburner with a bottle of red wine - very cosy. It's also great that Rene's has its own private parking. Five star - loved it.
