We had a fantastic week at Campion Cottage. The cottage is perfect in every way, providing everything needed for a great holiday. It was lovely and clean, the beds were very comfortable with nice quality duvets, pillows and bed linen. The kitchen was well equipped, providing a range of pots, pans, utensils etc. We were a little concerned that the coin meter for electricity may prove expensive and a bit of an inconvenience but that was certainly not the case.
Campion Cottage is in an ideal position, with lots of lovely walks nearby. Ruan Minor, just up the hill, has a great little shop for everyday needs and the Lizard, with its eateries, pubs and small shops, is just a short drive away. We found the local community very welcoming and we spent some happy hours in the sunshine on the long bench by the beach chatting to the fishermen about their catch when they returned each day. If you want boutique, shiny new accommodation Campion Cottage may not be your cup of tea, but if you love a comfortable, cosy, homely feel, it’s perfect! We will be back soon!

We loved our stay at Campion Cottage. From the long walks along the coastal trails to the warm fire in the evening. It was the perfect relaxing holiday. A very special spot on this earth. We’ll be back!

I have been coming to Cadgwith since I was 4 years old. It is such a beautiful place and I just feel at home when I am there. It was our first time staying in Campion Cottage but I have family members who used to stay there when they first discovered Cadgwith over 40 years ago. The cottage is a little dated and could probably do with a touch of modernising. Nonetheless it is still absolutely beautiful and has plenty of character. We would definitely stay there again in the future. We often sat on the bench at the front having a glass of wine and listening to the sea. The cottage is also a stone’s throw from the pub so the wind blew us there most nights! The cottage is also well equipped. Cadgwith is my favourite place on earth – it just never disappoints. Thank you for being so easy to deal with. Fabulous company.

Another fantastic week in Cadgwith. Love this cottage more every time we stay here. Even with all the [Covid] restrictions at this moment in time it’s still just as magical. See you soon Cadgwith!

If you want to experience an authentic Cornish cottage then this is the place for you. Equipped with everything you need, comfy beds, electric blankets. A stone's throw away from the local pub. WiFi in the cottage worked perfectly, which was great as little to no reception for mobile until you get higher outside the village. On entering we were greeted with milk, coffee and biscuits - perfect for a cuppa after a long journey. A great base to visit other places on The Lizard, or beautiful enough to stay put and enjoy Cadgwith itself.

We've stayed in lots of Cadgwith Cove cottages and we enjoyed Campion too - good kitchen provisions and thank you for the Treleague Dairy milk. We visited the farm shop a lot - good cream tea there - and good bread from the artisan stall in St Ruan. Great walk Cadgwith to Coverack and then Roskilly's (about 12 miles return trip). Coast is nice for coffee and breakfast in Lizard village and Retallack's good as a deli and butcher. Enjoyed kayaking out of the cove and also boarding at Kennack and Poldhu. Kynance really over-crowded.

Such a lovely cottage in an idyllic spot near the beach and the coastal walks, which were spectacular (Mullion Cove to Coverack). Woodburner cosy.

Campion Cottage is thatched and pretty, easy to stay in, with a well appointed kitchen and very comfortable beds. The cottage faces south-west so gets lots of sun through the day and evening. Although there is no garden, there is a comfortable bench outside the front door and we enjoyed sitting there with a book, passing the time of day with people walking past. Although the road is outside the front door it is not busy and we weren’t disturbed by the traffic. The pub is only about 20 metres away and we could enjoy the folk and sea shanty evenings from the bar, or from our doorstep. Cadgwith is a great place to stay – a working harbour with several fishing boats and fresh fish for sale, a lively pub with good food and friendly locals. There are lots of walks, coastal and inland, and we saw a great display of flowers in beautiful June sunshine.

We had a marvellous holiday and absolutely loved Campion Cottage. We were very sad to leave. We enjoyed two lovely meals at the Cadgwith Cove Inn and enjoyed seeing the local Cadgwith singers on the Friday night. The community spirit is so lovely to see and we would love to come back. The cottage was clean and well looked after The log burner was very welcome when we had a couple of cold nights. The beds were very comfortable and the bath was very welcoming after a few days walking! Our small dog, Daisy, also enjoyed her stay. We highly recommend the cottage and lovely village.

An excellent week. Squeezed lots in – Porthcurno, Minack Theatre, long coastal walks to Lizard, Kynance and Kennack, St Michael’s Mount, Marazion beach, Jubilee Pool and St Ives. We love Cadgwith and this area. If it could always be sunny like this we might never leave. Cottage itself really sweet but in need of some love – mattresses very tired [Owner’s note, Nov 2021: mattresses in twin and bunk rooms have now been replaced] and tap and flush in bathroom have seen better days. Quick fixes but would make a big difference to the experience.

Cadgwith as beautiful as ever. Lovely cottage - very comfortable and well-equipped. Needs a bit of TLC compared to some other Cadgwith cottages, especially the bathroom. [OWNER'S NOTE: the bathroom has been refurbished for 2020.]

Thank you for a lovely stay. We stay in Cadgwith a lot but this was the first time at Campion Cottage. We all absolutely loved it. We enjoyed lovely walks and celebrated our daughter's birthday. Even though it said 'no' to a sea view, all you had to do was open the front door and look left. Perfect.
