When you hear the name “A Lookout” you realise that this cottage really does look out over the water and Cadgwith Cove. It is approached along a private drive and stands in almost 2 acres of gardens (still being landscaped) in a lovely cliff top location. From almost every window you can see and hear the sea in all its moods. The cottage has been completely refurbished to a very high standard and provides easy living mixed with a beautiful setting. From the open sided decking area you can catch the sun all day whilst watching the fishing boats and sailing ships. There is always something of interest to see. Even on a dull day the cottage is bright – catching the light from all directions. From here you join the coast path which leads you down into Cadgwith (about 2 minutes walk). Or turn left and take the footpath to Kennack Sands, Coverack or even further!

A nice little cottage in a fantastic location. We enjoyed walking down the coast path in both directions - stunning scenery and interesting mining history - as well as into Cadgwith, which is just on and off the beaten path enough to be thoroughly entertaining. The pub is excellent - always something going on and great food too. Plus Jacqui and Paul are lovely hosts - thank you for the hospitality!

My husband and I are both in the army and were the first guests in their cottage last year on a short notice booking and they looked after us better than we could have ever hoped. Shortly after our stay with them we both deployed to Afghanistan and have been there since! We're hoping to leave here in the next few months and have already started to dream of another peaceful stay in Cadgwith and are hoping to go back to the lookout! It would just be lovely if you could let them know for us please and that we've often thought of their kindness when we stayed with them.
