Next door to the adjoining cottage, Spring Tide, the Stargazey apartment has been recently refurbished and has a nautical feel particularly with its view of the sea and palm trees. The easy open plan living area with patio doors out to the garden makes this the perfect place for a holiday. One of the greatest delights about this part of the world is the opportunity to see a ceiling full of stars with no street lights hence the name Stargazey. There is also a pie named after this – a pastry dish with pilchards arranged in a star shape – Cadgwith was once famous as a pilchard fishing port at the turn of the 19th century. Lobster and crabs have now replaced the pilchards making this an excellent spot for a very special shellfish supper. The village of Ruan Minor has a very well stocked grocery store and post office, the village hall with a thriving market every Thursday morning, the village church, tennis courts and children’s play area. Exploring further afield is effortless as there is parking just outside so trips to St Ives, Falmouth and Penzance are all about 40 minutes away.

Anne White, Derbyshire We enjoyed our visit. Stargazey was very clean and mostly well-equipped. However we thought the cutlery was not of a good standard and the quilt on the bed was too thick for summer. Ruan Minor was lovely and peaceful and we really enjoyed the area.
