Property details
Campion Cottage is a traditional thatched cottage with whitewashed walls and pale blue windows nestling into the hillside of Cadgwith cove. This is a very pretty cottage only 50 yards from the sea and the beach. Guests often wander the few yards with their morning cup of coffee to watch the fishing boats and all the daily activity on the beach. The cottage catches the evening sun so you can relax with a glass of wine. It is situated at the entrance to the cliff path leading you to Poltesco and Kennack Sands - perhaps one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline on the Lizard Peninsula. The old beams and granite inglenook fireplace remind you of days gone by, but you have all the advantages of open plan living with a fully modernised kitchen, and WiFi to keep in touch with the real world. It is a delightful and cheerful place to stay for your seaside holiday, close to the pub, restaurant and shops in the cove.

We had a marvellous holiday and absolutely loved Campion Cottage. We were very sad to leave. We enjoyed two lovely meals at the Cadgwith Cove Inn and enjoyed seeing the local Cadgwith singers on the Friday night. The community spirit is so lovely to see and we would love to come back. The cottage was clean and well looked after The log burner was very welcome when we had a couple of cold nights. The beds were very comfortable and the bath was very welcoming after a few days walking! Our small dog, Daisy, also enjoyed her stay. We highly recommend the cottage and lovely village.

We had a fantastic week at Campion Cottage. The cottage is perfect in every way, providing everything needed for a great holiday. It was lovely and clean, the beds were very comfortable with nice quality duvets, pillows and bed linen. The kitchen was well equipped, providing a range of pots, pans, utensils etc. We were a little concerned that the coin meter for electricity may prove expensive and a bit of an inconvenience but that was certainly not the case.
Campion Cottage is in an ideal position, with lots of lovely walks nearby. Ruan Minor, just up the hill, has a great little shop for everyday needs and the Lizard, with its eateries, pubs and small shops, is just a short drive away. We found the local community very welcoming and we spent some happy hours in the sunshine on the long bench by the beach chatting to the fishermen about their catch when they returned each day. If you want boutique, shiny new accommodation Campion Cottage may not be your cup of tea, but if you love a comfortable, cosy, homely feel, it’s perfect! We will be back soon!
